One last round at Camp Wofford. Who’s coming?

I feel the need to say as a Spartanburg native that as shitty of a city as this is (it’s nicknamed murderburg now, which is an accurate discription) that training camp here has always been a big deal. A lot of people went to it and looked forward too it, panther fan or not. It was a big deal around here and a lot of people will miss it. 

Really it was the only interesting thing we had here other then Zion

Actually took a campus visit during my high school days. Even as a 1a player, I thought the campus experience was subpar.

Might make my first trip down there. I thought one of the negatives about Wofford is that the team tends to start the season out slow because the coaches are wary of overworking the players in the heat?

I've heard people mention the opposite. The Panthers had a notoriously difficult camp historically. Camp intensity if regulated by the CBA.

They are likely to still have a degree outdoor camp at the new location too. Rock Hill is no different than than Spartanburg weather wise.

I must admit that I am stoked about the movement to Rock Hill in 2022 (I think). The facility will be 5 to 10 minutes from work. I foresee a few lunch/training camp observations.

You’ll be in heaven man. I’ve been close to camp  for a good while now. Will miss the proximity, but excited to see “TepperWorld”.

I say we skip Wofford, practice in our new bubble. Ya, still under contract, so just pay them.. and practice in Charlotte. I've seen them build a 3 story storage unit in Harrisburg in a month ... surely they can build an inside facility.

I used to live down there and went quite a bit back then. I have been trying to pull off going back there the past couple years but haven't been able to go because of work. My schedule is a little more favorable now so I might make a trip down there this year to say goodbye to an era or something hokey like that.

It is bad enough here in central NC already, with the rain the past few days. I think the humidity is 100% but somehow not raining currently.

I haven't made the 4+ hour trip in a long time, and I'll be glad for it to be elsewhere.

Gonna miss my after camp Beacon tradition.  If you've been to training camp and not stopped by the Beacon then your missing out.

With the probability of this being the last year at Wofford, I am glad I finally got to go last year. I won't be able to make it this time. It was a very enjoyable experience.
