Do we have the best defensive line in football

Recommended Posts

Found it interesting to read we have the highest paid d line in the NFL by a wide margin. At just over 30% of our cap space our d line makes 12 million more than the 2nd place Rams. Here's to hoping our big boys up front can find the fountain of youth and live up to such high expectations. I'm assuming they are getting these numbers using Addison in a 4 man front. Only thing that makes sense to me. Found the article on Panthers Wire if anyone is interested. No clue how to link stuff. Have a great weekend friends.

Proven?  Prob not

But its oozing with potential. Especially considering the entire front 7, and Rivera calling plays

If all the pieces come together like I think they are, I think we will have the #1 defense in the NFL and that all starts up front

come on dude put on your homer glasses

We have 0 reliable depth behind our 3 down hawg mollies other than Love and half of our outside rushers are unproven or rookies. We were bottom of the league in sacks last year and got virtually no pressure outside of KK & Mario. I'm gonna chill on the best D line in the NFL talk until we see some results.

We have Butler and Love. We picked up a few guys with a little experience this off season in Qualls, Barnes, Hamilton and Vaeao. What team has more depth behind their 3-4 lineman that that?  Sure the setup is unproven but numbers wise there is no lack of 3-4 DL depth at all.

    • Cutting edge analysis below https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2025-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-4-0 You gotta remember, Daniel Jeremiah talks to the scouts and GMs..... Notable highlights: #1 Abdul Carter (Edge) #2 Travis Hunter (WR/CB) #3 Ashton Jeanty (RB) #4 Mason Graham (DT) #5:  Jalon Walker (LB) #6 Tyler Warren (TE) #7  Coltson Loveland (TE) #15 Nick Emannwori (S) #22 Mykel Williams (Edge) #32 Mason Taylor (TE--3 TEs in round 1????) WR rankings (oh my!!  This is going to piss some folks off--I don't think a slot WR--Egbuka--should be in the middle of round 1, personally) #16 Matthew Golden (told ya this a month ago!!--you mocked me, some scoffed) #17  Emeka Egbuka (the sleeper we have not talked about enough!) #18  Tetairoa McMillan (according to the NFL Network Path to the Draft Crew-Ross, Brooks, Charles-the comments may have hurt his stock among GMs--I do think it might be a bit overblown, but hey, he raised the red flag--nobody else.  I am sure he will explain his meaning to satisfy GMs) #33 Luther Burden III (he has dropped quite a bit) Noteable Edges NOT in top 50, which means they could be there in the second:  Jack Sawyer, Princely. and my super sleeper pick who could be there in round 3--Josaiah Stewart, Michigan. MHS PREDICTIONS: It sure looks like #5 Jalon Walker Edge will be the pick---Mykel Williams dropped to #22. Most of the players we draft on days 1 and 2 will have a first name that starts with the letter J.
    • I feel like all the guys i think they're going to take will be gone. Graham and walker plus Carter who has no chance. If that's the case I really hope someone wants to jump the saints and we can trade back. I would want Green if he didn't have the accusations
    • I think with walker you have a pretty stable and decent floor.   With some of the others the floor is lower but yeah the ceiling is the roof.   We just cant risk that as a franchise at this point
