So Gerald McCoy signed with the Panthers because he's a vegan after all.

I went vegetarian for about six weeks once. Then I went to the doctor, told him, and he said "I'm sorry."

My blood pressure didn't see any significant drop or anything.

After that, I said "fug it!"

Perhaps I'll try the vegan thing one day. I doubt it though.  My blood pressure decreased significantly from markedly decreasing sugar and drinking a product called True Lemon which has only 1 gram of cane sugar and is mainly sweetened by stevia. It made me a stevia believer

I am not sure why McCoy is a vegan but,  not every one is vegan or vegetarian for health reasons.  Personally I find it immoral to eat the meat of tortured animals, to say nothing about the needless degradation of our planet due to industrial scale animal farming.

Why do vegan places have fake meat on the menu? That'd be like paying a hooker for a fleshlight.

Because there are classic menu items vegans grew up eating and liking. Finding a similar substitute only makes sense.
