Sidebar: they need to release this on the fuggen switch like FIFA. I'll ignore all of the broken jankiness of Madden if I can play on my toilet, on a plane, etc.

My go-to has been running a 4-3 base and almost exclusively draft 3-4 OLBs to convert to 4-3 DE and 4-3 run stopper DEs to convert to 4-3 DTs. 

3-4 is difficult to me in Madden. I run 3 basic blitz packages out of a 4-3 and the rest is just mixing up looks. It usually works until I run into the guy from South Park who was playing and destroying World of Warcraft.

Yeah, I run man coverage four man bases almost exclusively mixing in a zone blitz look every now and then. The zone coverage AI just isn't good enough. Running zone without blitz help is pretty much offering a free 1st down.
