McCoy money... Not too shabby

Said the same thing in another thread. I thought it would take a multi-year contract to woo him but it seems he wanted to be here and wanted to win. He must see our guys are hungry to win and we are all in this year.  I know I am. Imagine how much fun that game in London is going to be now with our defense. Now if we can shore up the safety position, Hurney will have hit a grand slam.

McCoy meant it when he said he wanted to play for a contender. He's played us twice every year since he's been drafted. He would know us better than any other team out there that's looking for a DT.

The Panthers aren’t a ‘contender’. Neither are the Browns or Ravens. I’d be surprised if we make the playoffs, even more surprised Cam’s shoulder holds up all season and flabbergasted if we actually aren’t one and done in the playoffs. Those aren’t things people get surprised about talking contenders.

Over and over people on this forum about disrespect and haters and being underdogs. Again, not something bonefish contenders have. Maybe it’s a good thing, when we are expected contenders, we fall flat.

But out of the three teams interested in him I think we are his best choice.

    • It isn't a two year process from where we have torn down to. That's the problem. We could fuging destroy the next two drafts and free agency periods and we might improve to maybe .500 football. This is literally why I said we should have never torn down this franchise. Now you have to completely build culture and you have to replace about 85% of the roster with NFL capable players. That is NOT a 2 year building process. It's years. YEARS.
    • It fairly obvious that Evero needs to go. Honestly, the development of Canales is more important than the development of Bryce Young for this franchise.
    • You are literally describing a 7th round special teams guy, not a 2nd rounder. That's the problem. Sure, if he was actually a sure handed WR. The truth is that he isn't that yet. Remember, he isn't some 21 year old. He's about half a year younger than TMJ. We can't afford for him to take 3-4 years to figure this out.  If you wanted a QB's best friend and just HAD to trade up, go get a Brian Thomas. That's an effective and pro ready WR. Or how about a guy that went after XL? McConkley who consistently is able to get open and even catch the ball with his actual hands!!!
