Yeah it wears off after everytime a player goes to FA people on here are like we are going to sign him. Just because we tell someone to take a paycut doesn't mean we are signing any FA. We still haven't sign two of our rookies, and u need money for the year in case of injuries.

We're about to have $18 mill...thats way more than enough to carry over and pay 2 rooks. We might not sign McCoy. But someone will be signed before the season starts.

Went from overpriced backup to affordable valued veteran with that signing.  It’s a very reasonable price.

I'm just saying we are not paying McCoy over 10 mil a year. That leaves u with 8 mil to pay ur top 2 rookies and then u don't have much left for year. Just don't see it happening, but I hope they figure it out.

We achieve zero savings by cutting Butler.  His contract is guaranteed.  The only good news is that this is his last year, so either he balls out and gets paid or he continues to be a marginal backup and gets paid like that either here or somewhere else next year.

All Butler‘s salary is dead money,cutting him can't save any space,but trading him can save 1.5M.

IMO not need to cut or trade him,we also need backups in 3-4.

This was definitely a "we'd like to keep you but we need the money one way or the other" sort of deal. I think the coaches agree with you but if his contract was standing in the way of signing McCoy he was gonna get sent packing, and he knows that.
