Am I understanding this correctly?

$9.8 mil (Cap space) + ~$7 mil(post June 1st Kalil) + $2 mil (Smith savings)= Approx $19 mil in cap space?!

But seriously...good on Torrey and good on Hurney for getting this done.  Now lock up McCoy. Front load it, we've got the space this year...and can clear quite a bit next year between Poe (or KK) to provide DT flexibility in the future.

We still need to sign Burns and Little I think.  That’s about 3 mil.  So about 16 mil

But I could be wrong and those figures include that.

I don’t see it anywhere either. That’s what usually happens in cases like this, but I haven’t seen anything concrete yet. The guaranteed money is usually the only reason for the player to take the deal. But we’ll see when more details come out.

Yea its best to wait a couple of days, still right now it seems he can still be cut without any guarantees. Looks like a straight pay cut and Smith didn't want to hit the market. Good Agents know the market at all times if Smith was comfy why make a move for the same pay elsewhere.

eric reid just signed an extension.

honestly the best choices would be someone like cam restructuring his contract, but why in the world would he do that after the panthers just spent a third on a QB?

the most likely outcome is mcCoy takes a heavily back loaded 2 year deal that pays out once the kalil money starts coming off the books.
