   Still too much. And now it’s guaranteed. So which WR spot is he taking. What if Godwin, Ross, or Robinson look good. We still keeping him? A 4th-5th WR that doesn’t play STs.

Torrey at $3M is a good use of cap.  He's not worthless regardless of what some posters think.

He came up big in the Philly and Washington game before he good hurt and Newton couldn't throw deep.  Moore and Samuel are still the future but there is definitely a spot for Torrey on the team

League source confirms @FieldYates 1st report that Panthers veteran WR Torrey Smith took a pay cut; Panthers freed up about $2 million and will have another $7.5 million available on Sunday, June 2, because of the Matt Kalil cut. Bucs DT Gerald McCoy is in town through Friday.

I don't think that was ever in doubt though to be honest.  Torrey is still a viable deep threat and can still contribute to this team as well as being a mentor.  Torrey @ $2-3M is a good value

I don't like it as much as I would've like just cutting Torrey and saved $5M instead of $2M. Torrey is bringing nothing to the table, nothing. But if we can get McCoy that's great.

  2M isn’t going to matter with McCoy. We have 10M now. Getting 7M more in a day or two. We had the money before this.
