Obviously a deal can't be signed today, but the contract can still be drawn up to be signed at a later date and agreed upon in principle just like 'tampering period' the day before free agency begins.  The Matt Kalil money dragging a couple days has little, if no, baring on the contract situation with McCoy.  Heck, Tepper may offer to fly him back on his dime if he agrees to come to Carolina.  At any rate McCoy wants to have the weekend to think it over even further lessening the need for the Matt Kalil money right now.

Maybe Mccoy just wants to soak up the free agency sun, basking in all of the fapping thinking of him playing for their team.

Sucks but I think our only chance to sign him was to keep him here. I thought the Smith pay cut would mean he was signing but it didn't happen. I think he will be a Brown by tomorrow.
