What I would like to see happen over the next few months...

We sign another really good DT (one who is a good pass rusher). Can never have enough guys who can provide pressure up the middle. I'm looking at the Eagles SB team and how they kept 8 solid pass rushers in rotation. Not confident Butler will be that DT when they line up in 4-3, but you never know as he is more then in just a contract year, he's playing for his future in the NFL.

Grier and Allen become 2 solid back ups that both make the team. If Cam went down, having that back up to the back up comes in handy (see last year, game 17).

One of the back up RB's develop the pass catching and blitz pick ups really good so we can spell CMC more than last year. This will determine that more than anything.

Shaq is playing for his future contract. I hope he kills it out there which only means we had a good season too.

One of the newer/younger guys from last year; Haynes, Carter, Cox or Obada really excel and make the team as a starter or high rotation guy. We know Miller is gonna make it even if he ain't up to speed just yet.

Ross Cocktrell comes back from injury and plays a lot. He could even cover the outside letting Ajax cover the speedy slot receivers at times.

The obvious: Sign a FS with experience. I suspect Coleman or Boston might be signed after min camp after they see what they have. They have the money.

The other obvious: Cam comes back healthy and continues what he started last year. This with a solid O-line will lead to 25+ points a game and take a load of pressure off the defense to stop every team all the time, just keep them in check.

Potential is the key word along with injuries in the NFL. We have good back ups for the O-line which is very encouraging. If some guys play up to potential and stay healthy, we should be back in the playoffs.

A realistic target for us should be Glover Quinn. Used to be pretty good- probably closer to average now. For us, that’s a great thing, as every other option is far below average. Ron also loves his vets. We should be able to afford him after June first

    • yeah, you should get an auto spot not an auto top 5 spot.  I mean, Big12 still could go sideways and the #5 seed is someone the CFP actually ranks way out of the top 12.  Right now it's the #16 seed but it could be lower than that.
    • At least we get a max of 3 more years to figure that out for sure. The past few weeks have been promising but hes not a finished product
    • I think a big difference between players and fans is that we're most impressed by those crazy passes that seem thrown like missiles for 30 yards down the field. BY can't really do that... Instead, he throws with anticipation, where he's throwing the ball before a receiver is anywhere near where the route finishes (this alone isn't that uncommon). But when and how he does that is really impressive I think, and what a lot of former players are commenting on. With that kind of passing you have to be decisive, which he finally has been the last few games.
