I’ll take the solid aging vet safety during cuts over him. I say give Rahsaan Gaulden a shot and have a vet as depth.

My biggest issue is if Gaulden even gets HURT, not even if he plays bad, we have Colin Jones coming in lol.

I agree that our depth is poo. Every team has a weak spot and this is ours. The good news is that with one decent vet depth signing I will feel 100 percent better, which can easily be done at any point (we have solid options available and will have many more after cuts). Boston would want to come in and start. He would be much more expensive than Gaulden, and he is JAG which is why I feel like we need a good depth piece who has experience......just not 90 year old Adams experience

No, the reason is that article above. If he truly thinks he’s getting that kind of money then that’s 100% the reason he isn’t signed yet. What he’s looking for, he isn’t going to get.

what compels you to flat out tell me I am wrong when your answer is 100% speculation... He has played for 2 teams since he left us... each team took time in signing him. I dont think money played a role in that. My opinion, and I am not going to say you are wrong either.

The article above doesn't necessarily negate the report that he may be difficult to coach and/or cocky. In fact, I would think that it would give the report credibility. Cocky players likely tend to be more difficult to coach and cocky player are probably also likely to think they're worth a lot more than their market value.

NFL GMs would probably tell him yhe same thing. As soon as he's ready to stop playing games and ready to talk about a reasonable contract for his abilities, then they're ready to talk. But if he thinks he's worth $10M per season, that phone is going to do nothing but collect dust.

Thanks. That answers most of my questions.

While he is underrated and underpaid, he shooting for the wrong group. He will never play again if he wants 10M.

Your roster cannot be loaded with superstars but this defense is pretty dang close--

Luke:  Pro Bowler, future hall of famer (First rounder)

Shaq:  hybrid player, could prosper in 3-4 (first rounder)

KK:  Bad year last year, but he is a stud. (second rounder-better than our first round DT)

McCoy:  Great player with a few years left (first rounder)

Poe: Freakish athlete who might do well in 3-4' ( first rounder)

Reid:  Back at SS, where he belongs (first rounder)

Action Jackson:  Blazing speed, solid player (second rounder)

Bradberry:  solid for the past few years vs. #1 WRs (second rounder)

Burns:  Fast and furious off the edge (first rounder)

Seriously---SIX former first rounders and THREE second rounders on defense.   Reid, Luke, KK, McCoy, and Burns---isn't that all we need?

No excuses for Rivera this year.

Really.  And wait till we see Norv Turner with a healthy arm, better OL, and more mature skill players.

If the left side of the OL steps up, who beats this team?

You left out Bruce Irvin - the 15th pick in the 2012 draft.
