Number 1 isn't a position it's a fantasy term.

Oh, so you rejected the article because it was titled "Why Curtis Samuel Is Primed To Be The Panthers’ Best Receiver" instead of "Why Curtis Samuel Is Primed To Be The Panthers' X Receiver?" Got it. That makes sense.

Personally I'm happy we have receivers worth mentioning. The way the game is evolving, speed, and YAC are key as the ball needs to get out of the QB's hands faster. You need receivers that get open quickly that can break a tackle and get up-field. I know even before Cam's injury people were looking for the shots, but that is an inefficient way to run the offense as we did under Shula, having a short game allowed us to see one of the most consistent Panther's offenses in a long while. And this was still with the OL injuries in effect after Moton had to move to RT to make room for Clark.

Even with the adversity, and lingering trouble after Week 10ish, Cam still finished with a 68% completion percentage. He'd never eclipsed 61.7% back in 2013. So aside from the weapons, I'm most intrigued in how this offense will continue to develop as we upgraded the offensive line, and our young skill players -- CMC, Moore, Samuel, and Thomas all have another year under their belts.

I'm glad someone in the media finally said something about Curtis.  His injury and heart situation somehow got him almost forgotten.  The dude was pick 40....he is really really good.  I was getting pissed when some criticized our draft because we didn't take a receiver in the first 3 rounds.

Like Luke said "  “Can we just give the ball to Curtis every play? He scores every time!”

Speaking of Samuel, was I dreaming or did Ron actually say something along the lines of "We don't know what to do when both are in the game (him & DJ)"??

I think last year early on this came up in the pre-season, it obviously got figured out IMO by Norv. They IMO honestly compliment each other well, and share similar traits Samuel is the faster of the two, but both of them are good with the ball in hands, however Moore is about 15 lbs heavier (5'11 / 215) he's harder to bring down through contact and has excellent balance and is low enough with his center of gravity that he keeps his feet to get YAC even after contact in air.

Very excited to see them both receive full time reps with Wright, and Smith rotating in and potentially Ross, or Godwin. I will say when you look at Norv's offenses traditionally back in SD he featured a 6'4+ guy (Jackson / Floyd) so I am surprised we haven't / didn't bring in someone with size and athleticism via the draft.
