What cakewalk did the Bruins go through? A Toronto team that many thought would win the cup and a Columbus team that swept Tampa?

I’ve seen the Sharks play quite a few games as well and they are riding old names and legs in this year’s playoffs.

The Sharks are even lucky to be this far after getting a gift from the referee’s.

Boston has been playing great hockey since December and look to be the best team in the playoffs thus far. If they fold fine, but that doesn’t look like it’s in the cards this year.

LOL literally not a single person in the entire NHL community who isn’t a Leafs an thought they’d win the cup. They are a terrible team, poorly coached with no defense and a bunch of chokers on offense. Columbus sweeping Tampa is an aberration and happened due to so many factors. The BJs are not and never were a good team this season, even with the deadline acquisitions. And while we have played well and surprised a lot we simply are not a very talented team either. We shouldn’t have made it this far if not for some insane heart and effort at times and that can only get you so far. The Bruins have not proved a thing at all in the playoffs except that they can be carried by Rask for a short time period. And given his track record it’s safe to assume he won’t keep it up either the rest of this series or for the finals.

Sharks shouldn’t have had a 5 man advantage, you are right. But at the end of the day they scored 4 goals on one 5min PP and won in OT. They deserved to win that series against arguably the best team in the league going into the playoffs. And you could not be more wrong about the Sharks “riding” old legs. Guys like Pavelski and Thornton are merely complementary leaders on that team. Burns and EK are dominant and guys like Meier, Couture, Hertl are the core of their forwards along with great support from the likes of Kane and the veterans. They are without a doubt the best overall team left in the playoffs. We’ll see what happens

I think Curtis in net and HEAVY focus on killing the Bruins power play need to be the focus from now until Tuesday.  We outskated them last game aside from the PP's, and same today honestly even late into the 2nd...then it came unhinged.  We have to stop letting them get to the net on PP's and just feasting on rebounds.  Absolutely murdering us in that department.

It'd be nice if Carolina could find a power play as well...I mean could you imagine if they had even just an average PP?  The series would be tied right now.

Rough one. Gotta take the next two. If we don't, running the table through 7 is nigh impossible

Agree we must win all games at home. But fwiw, Bruins are one of 4 teams to choke away a 3-0 series lead...

That's my hope is Boston rides these two wins too high, we play with our hair on fire Tuesday and get the momentum rolling going back to Boston next weekend.

Wasnt able to check in until the 3rd period.  It was 5-0.  I immediately turned it off.

I honestly expected them to blow our doors off after how the refs changed the momentum in the 3rd period of game 1.  I just knew that momentum was gonna carry into game 2 unless we stifled them early.

That being said, if the officiating is fair In game 3, i loved our odds at home.  The crowd energizes our team.  IF we can win both games, it's 0-0 come game 5 and we have a chance...  but honestly, Boston + the refs has looked way overpowered compared to WAS and NYI.

If Williams didn't act like a dumbass today and Petr giving up that easy goal, it would've been 3-2. Got to cut down on mistakes and learn how to pass and score on the powerplay. I don't know what Rod has this team do during practice, but we don't even have the basics down pack. It's the same poo over and over. We don't know how to handle the puck, we don't know how to pass, we keep turning it over,  guys keep losing their edge and falling on the ice, defense keeps getting caught out of position. FFS address our weaknesses and we will be fine instead of acting like everything is OK.

Edit: Idk why I said Curtis instead of Petr

Refs have been bending us over and fuging us dry. Their is a reason Boston can only score on power plays.

I turned Sunday's game off at 3-0.

The Canes looked like they overslept and got to the arena just in time for the opening face-off.

Boston netted 6 yesterday. 2 of them were power plays and another 2 were just bad goals allowed by Mrazek.

2 games- 10 goals allowed. Time for a change in goal.
