Smitty has lost of step. That one pass he caught from Jake this Sunday, towards the end, would have been a touchdown - had the Steve of old had the ball with his great cut-away speed!!!

I'm not sure about that. I think he still would have been caught 3-4 years ago. All Smitty had to do was hurdle and he would have been gone. I think Smitty's woes has more to do with mind set. I think he's tired of Jake playing honestly and its affecting Smith's game. Teams have figured our passing game out, mostly because of Jake's play. Hell if he didn't over throw him yesterday, Smith would have had well over a 100yds.

If I'm a Smith caliber WR it would really piss me off if my QB always stared me down, and rather than throw it to other options, he forces the throw to me putting the ball and my body at risk. It would take the edge off my game, knowing Jake is going to eventually mess it up.

Here lately, Jake's INT's have been intended for TE's, cept for the one smitty let go off his hand.

Fwiw, its seems to me that when Jake gets most of his int's, the target is irrelevant. Its over the middle and relatively deep (15 plus yards) that he has his problems, doesn't matter if its Smith, Moose, or one of the TE's.

I was wondering if his vision is ok, if he is having problems with depth perception.
