I was only able to catch the 3rd. I dont get the penalties, but all that aside, if we dominated the 2nd, and I thought we dominated the 3rd minus 8 min penalty time, and the last 3 mins or so with the empty netter and just hopeless play,,,I mean I definitely thought I saw a good 9 or 10 mins of dominance there. With that, I feel pretty god going forwatd!

Yeah the officiating could have been better but we wasted way too many opportunities.

Our power play offense and defense looks like it was back in regular season form this game. We won’t win this series if that continues.

It’s the fuging playoffs, outside of obvious high sticks and plays where guys get injured just let the poo go...

I mean there’s no excuse for this crap unless you really want Boston in the finals.

There is no excuse giving up 2 power play goals in like 30 seconds.

You have to be better than that if you expect to win the Cup.

Momentum is huge though... just look at the Vegas/ San Jose game.

But I agree, kill at least one of those and the game might be different.

I don’t know man if a team has a bad kill but doesn’t actually commit penalties and gets called anyways, you can’t  blame the team. It’s like the Vegas Sharks game 7, yes they shouldn’t have allowed 4 goals on one 5min major but they didn’t actually commit a 5min major so shouldn’t have needed to prevent that. We were the better team and the refs handed them the game in the third, it’s really that simple. Win Sunday and we’re in good shape. Even if we don’t you saw the Caps series. This thing ain’t over til one team has 4 victories.

Faceoff after Mrazek was pulled...Game was over when the ref called his puck drop dead (Staal won it clean) and then kicked Staal out of the circle. I knew right then that Aho would lose the faceoff and Bruins would pot an empty netter.

I just don’t like to make excuses and blame the refs for something we still had control over. You end up sounding like Saints fans who blamed the refs for losing the Rams playoff game. They had multiple opportunities to win that game and they blew it in overtime.

Yes the refs made some shitty calls but we still had numerous chances to win the game and didn’t play well enough to capitalize on them.

Play better defense on the power play and we beat Boston and the refs.

We were too aggressive on one PP. When we almost scored, we chased the puck in our end and left no one in front of the goal. They passed to a man wide open in front.

I didn't think we were going to sweep them, so I'm not worried. Big Rod will make some adjustments, we just have to play our game.

At even strength the Canes can out-skate these guys. They are quicker than Columbus, they apply more defensive pressure and they move the puck better.

That being said, Boston got here because of power plays and they will continue to succeed on power plays. The Canes got 3 stupid penalties in the 3rd last night which cost them the game. They easily dominated Boston for 40 combined minutes. Hamilton and Ferland both need to settle down. As much as I would like to see Marchand and Kuraly on their back in the middle of the ice, the thing is, Boston has been getting calls all year long. Don't know why, but the refs have let them get away with manhandling opponents all season when they get behind.
