To those who think Cam is just eating steak and planning movies....

Clearly from the response in this thread if you reading people seem to think cam is more interested being a entertainer than football player. People do feel that way. Pescatarian? Most people don’t even know what that is. Please don’t assume everyone knows what you know and are as hip to the same information as you are.

So, you are just making some random troll thread to stir up the anti-Cam crowd? Then you can drag your Cam Fathead up on your cross with you to randomly defend a topic and talking point you made up.

Got it, you enjoy digital self-flagellation.

You know what I was gonna respond with something really witty but seeing as you were not pooing post today I will take it as a compliment. But I guess that’s exactly what I was doing, vexing the anti-cam crowd whom I thought were non-existent on the huddle for the most part. But seems I was wrong.

Apparently so. I didn't realize we have advanced so much as a society that those are now the deplorable traits in a human being.

Also, what the hell is "planning movies?"

I think that's what Philly B was doing a few years ago.  Apparently, he's a giant a-hole.  I have to go modify my post congratulating him on his movie release, now.

How hard would it have been to try out, "Check out Cam's new workout video!" or something that isn't specifically trying to incite a bunch of nonsense? Does it make you feel that much better to just stir up poo for no apparent reason? That's what I don't understand about you troll/clickbait title people in here. What is the benefit of polarizing your own fanbase(or a fanbase you CLAIM to be a part of, anyway)?

Don't get me wrong, I am all for some trolling if people are unreasonable about a reasonable subject but to start right out of the gate with an unreasonable(and frankly mildy retarded) thread title just doesn't seem to make much sense. Plus, why do you want to incite hatred towards Cam? WTF purpose does that fuging serve?

That was a reference to that? Jesus....fuging Huddle deep cuts. I wouldn't know. I completely stayed away from that topic because it had absolutely nothing to do with sports.

Because his percentage was inflated due to multiple short passes to Cmac and others.

Just like early on his low percentage was exaggerated by going deep so much.

The truth lays in between. In the 15 to 30 yard range he's wildly inaccurate. This is where footwork matters.

And in the beginning of the season he couldn't throw it deep then either.

Goal posts successfully moved. Sports fans really are the worst. This tiny statistical window that I think is the most important thing is the only thing that matters...everything else is unimportant and I will allow no amount of facts disprove my point because...my opinion is fact. Also I'll use words like wildly inaccurate without substantiating any of it because I get to spew hot takes without any basis in fact.

Here's a fact that is from a simple stat search on NFL.com and it instantly refutes your entire premise but "muh opinion"

Cam Newton accuracy 11-20 yards (2018): 94/140 67.1%

Cam Newton accuracy 21-30 yards (2018): 89/122 73%

http://www.nfl.com/player/camnewton/2495455/situationalstats

So, apparently, an average of 70% accuracy is "wildly inaccurate". Seriously, who ties your shoes?

Sports fans are just a reflection of the rest of society. Facts/statistics/science all become polarizing hot button issues rather that reasonable or logical discussions.

The extreme Cam nut huggers and extreme Cam haters have a couple of things in common. Most of them are trolls and a very small percentage are probably actual Panthers fans.

This is the kind of idiocy that will crop up when you start a thread with an moronic, clickbait title specifically designed to draw in these kind of jackasses.

Ranting aside, thanks for posting those stats though. That is the first useful information in 4 pages of nonsense.

There may be some trolls out there.

I consider myself realistic. He's the 10th best QB in the league.

When he's in the top 5 and has a ring he can do all the branding and social media stuff he wants. Until then he has tons and tons of improvement to do to get in the elite tier of QBs.

The fact is all those elite guys have spent thousands of hours perfecting footwork and fundamentals.

That's what it takes to be elite.

You are giving an arbitrary personal "rating" to the league QB's, first of all. Even more ridiculous is the notion that the difference between 1-5 and 6-10 is some gulf that separates the have's from the have not's.

He can do all the branding and social media he wants if he is top 5, top 10 or bottom 5. It's a free country. He is doing that on his own fuging time and it also has to do with marketing yourself as a player. That's just good business.

You have NO idea what he does or doesn't do in the offseason other than what little tidbits you see that HE usually provides. NONE of us has any idea. Period.

We, like every other armchair/keyboard QB are judging what he is or isn't doing based on the results, without any idea what the steps to get there are because ESPN and the NFL Network don't fuging have live coverage of private workouts, team workouts, gym workouts or any other individual poo that almost ANY NFL player does in their offseason or free time.

So, the bitching about his offseason workouts is just you complaining because he isn't the type of QB you personally want him to be and/or you just don't like him. Sort of like this jackass micnificent28 would be fellating him regardless of any real flaws that Cam did/does show.

The thing that the rest of us get frustrated by(for both sides) is when you use the guise of non-factual or statistics based "analysis" to prop up some argument that is just thinly veiled criticism or nutriding. What I want to hear you just fuging say is, "I just don't like him" or "He isn't the kind of QB that I like." Fine. Everyone has an opinion but don't pretend that there is some factual basis for some generally baseless criticism.

When you play football in college or the NFL it's a full time job.

He should be spending 40 hrs a week specifically on football and improving during the offseason.

8hrs a day 5 days a week. Lifting, running, mobility work, film, fundamentals etc.

I am going to have to agree and disagree with ya buddy. Nothing personal but I see the opposite. The kid has not been medically cleared to throw yet so that’s out the window. Part of being a football player is taking care of yourself mentally and physically which he seems to play on that well. I’m going to take it a step further and say what if he is studying film right now and not recording it on social media. What if he is still doing everything “people ask of him”?  Also, who says the top QBs in the league are doing the said things? I don’t see video proof or tweets since that’s how we as society gauge someone’s life and worth. We have it all ass backwards. Cam can be a mvp at Dunkin Donuts just as long as he is ready to play when the staff seems him ready. I don’t care what he documents or leaves out on social media, I have my own life to worry about. Dude was having a career year until his shoulder gave up. You don’t win mvp on sheer luck. As far as foot work, we can list a lot of greats who has had this “issue”. As long as he can throw a football im cool with the “issues”. Hey man , no one is perfect.

Guy is putting in work and working harder than anybody to make sure he has done all he can to be at 100% He has his own new youtube channel where you can follow everything he does in the offseason including ventures, football, working out and the surgery.... It's a closer look into the life of the man,def worth checking out.

So if his shoulder doesn't get back to even 90%, can he switch to tight end and replace Olsen?
