Canelo vs Jacobs.

I had Canelo, but I passed on watching it live, wasn't really a fan of the matchup on paper, + fighting Canleo on DAZN you are going to have to KO him or box flawlessly to get the W, something I couldn't see Jacobs doing.

Also been disgusted with Boxing lately, the Garcia Spence fight left a bad bad taste in my mouth.

And Fury Wilder not re matching WTF  ( which was the best fight of the year IMO  is BS)

Sick of this Sh*t

As a die hard boxing fan, I agree. Wilder fury 2 should have happened, there is no excuse. Wilder v AJ should have happened, there is no excuse. It’s sad we have all these champs that don’t want to fight each other (I’m a wilder fan) and when they do fight, there is some BS controversy that takes away from the fight (canelo v GGG fights).

Thank goodness for my boy Lomachenko, without him and Bud Crawford, it would be tough for me to watch boxing.

Same here huge boxing fan, and just fed up with this BS

The welterweight division is stacked, these guys should be fighting each other, Thurman, Garcia, Porter, Spence, (Crawford now competing at 147)

The Heavyweight division is as competitive as its been in 2 decades, yet they all avoid each other.

Everyone is afraid to lose

The problem with Lomachenko is if he hasn't already is he's going to run out of people to fight at 135, he might have to take some crazy chances and move up past whats reasonable to make some $ and get some fights, hopefully that doesn't happen.

Loma said he’d move up and fight anyone, I just hope he doesn’t try and take on too much. Maybe after Wilders fight on the 18th, he will try and go for Fury again? They both said they want it to happen.

Yeah there are definitely some fights for him at 140 but I think that's going to be his ceiling. I would love to see him fight Gervonta Davis but again promoter politics will probably prevent that from happening, & Gervonta is maybe not ready but it would be an entertaining fight to make.

Fury, Wilder, Joshua,  one of them SHOULD be fighting the other by the end of the year. I'm hoping for the best but none of these promoters work with the other, and I wouldn't be shocked in the least if we didn't get another top heavyweight fight in 2019.

Crawford Spence would be great at WW - probably not going to happen

Boxing the ultimate love / hate sport :eyeroll:

I’ve been a big boxing guy my whole life but over the years it’s just gotten worse and worse. I still watch some but I don’t enerslly think it’s worth it to pay big bucks for the PPV or even go to a bar to watch them. I definitely won’t watch another Canelo fight until he fights GGG again and GGG doesn’t get fuged by the judges. Decent fight on cable tonight I’ll be watching soon, Hurd/Williams

    • Yeah, I am not giving up on him yet but I do think we need to see a pretty big step up this season to be convinced he is a long term solution. It is a shame that his development seemed to be stunted in 2023.
    • To put the question simply: Would you be happy with a Steelers trade that doesn't bring back their first-round pick next year? A potential trade between us and Pittsburgh is interesting because depending on which draft value chart you use, Pittsburgh has two totally natural trades available to them, but they're very different. The Jimmy Johnson chart says the difference between us at 8 and them at 21 is 600 points, or almost exactly the value of the last pick in the 1st round. That falls in line with how teams tend to discount future picks. 8 for 21 and next year's Pitt 1st is almost exactly equal. More modern charts (Chase Stuart, Fitz) are much flatter, and 8 for 21 and 83, Pittsburgh's next pick this year, are basically equal.  Now, the second one obviously won't actually happen--the Lions had to include pick 73 just to move from 29 to 24 last year, and Pittsburgh would clearly be making a much bigger jump. But given the flatness of this draft and the lack of blue-chip players at the top, would you accept some mix of 21, 83, and next year's non-first-rounders from Pittsburgh, or would you want Dan Morgan barred from every touching the draft again for accepting anything less than next year's first?
    • just ask XL, to date he is has never been wrong about what we are doing w/ our first pick
