If you're trying to get to London for Oct 13th, and thinking airfare would be crazy - here's a "deal" announced today.

=-=-=-

Norwegian Air to Gatwick with prices starting at $120 one way. Purchase tickets by May 5. Blackout dates apply.

Sample one-way fares to LGW:
$120 Boston
$135 New York-JFK
$140 San Francisco
$155 Chicago, Tampa, Miami or Los Angeles
$175 Denver or Seattle

Return flight may be pricier. You may find another airline has a cheaper return flight from another London airport, or from another departure country.

These are the "LowFare" rates, with absolutely no add-ons. Snacks and sodas will cost you, and a meal is $45. There is free WiFi to stay in touch with the Huddle.

Definitely no free WiFi on Norwegian. No entertainment at all. Took the one from NY back in October. It was terrible. It’s BYOW (water). They make you check any bag bigger than a purse - I had to check my backpack and it was $100 each way. It was terrible.

i just bought one of our guys a direct out of BOS for $680 on American. There are good flights out of NYC too. If you’re trying to go as inexpensively as possible there are options. I wouldn’t make Norwegian one of them.

Just my friendly advice

British airways started flying from Charleston SC this year also, into Gatwick I think.

Heathrow , but they only do a couple of direct flights each way per week.  You can fly direct on Thursday night from Charleston.  Round trip right now is around 750

  • 4 weeks later...

If this is a thing you're interested in:  October tickets for the London production of Hamilton go on sale tomorrow at 12 noon GMT.  If you're going to be in London for the game anyway and have a free few hours, it could be a cheaper way to see a permanent production of the show vs NY (or the soon-to-close Chicago version, which some say is better than NY).

British airways is under $600 if you stay a week and fly on Friday. $1500 for business class,... oh yea(don’t expect that to stay for long)

they are the only airline that still treats everyone with class,..lots of coffee, tea, hot towels, and seats that are more like economy plus on other airlines,... no other way I’m crossing the Atlantic.
