Anyone who thinks Grier is competition is just fantasizing. He was in a very qb friendly offense and put #s up against mediocre defenses. If he’s anything he’s a project.

 

Now if we were to draft Tua next year THAT would be competition

People are acting like we picked him with the first pick of the third round. It was a comp pick, if we took him early in the forth no one would care. I remember we looked at Russell Wilson in the 3rd to back up Cam and it wasn’t a big deal. If you have a qb that has been injured recently, you need a good backup to step in if he has to miss any games.

Never expected anything less from Cam.

He has been nothing less than a fantastic teammate, and a consistent presence this franchise has always been able to count on.

Panthers fans could have it so much worse in terms of QB depth. Just appreciate what you've got while you've got it.

that might be true, but it is pretty likely that Hurney would have taken him with our original third rounder had he not traded up.

I for one don't hate him. I just don't think he has lived up to my expectations of a number 1 overall.

I expected him to be Brady, Rodgers, Breese, Rothlesburger good.

But there are 21 other teams that have it worse than a healthy Cam.

Brady is the literal GOAT.  The bar for first round QBs isn't to be on par w/ that.

Tua played against one team with a roster that could compete w/ the Bama.   And Bama lost.   And Tua was a huge reason for that loss.
