The youth on the roster and the hunger in the locker room is showing. This is why you hire a coach like Brindamour and let the front office focus on bringing in the RIGHT pieces, not necessarily the big names or fan favorites or high draft picks. This team is tight knit and truly together. Idk if there is another team in the league right now that plays for each other in this way. We have a truly special group..

  Question,....I have a part time job where I work random nights...had to miss the game last night which sucked!! Ill catch Game 4 friday though thank god!!....My question is: anyone know the stanley cup championship schedule? I dont want to jinx this team, but I definately want to try and ask for a week off that will be sure to allow me to watch at least the last 3 or 4 games in case the canes make it all the way. I just dont know what time frame to shoot for. Cant find anything on the web....any ideas?

Last week of May is roughly the start. First of June at the latest assuming both conference finals go 7.

So maybe June 1st thru 7th would be safe? I automatically get the 8th and 9th off...

Yeah that'd probably work. May 8th or so is game 7 of the 2nd round games. May 10th being the start of 3rd round, that will go until like, May 23 or so is probably the earliest start of the SCF.

The thing is, this team has that extra gear in the 3rd.  Hats off to Rod for training these guys to have incredible endurance in the 3rd period.  I don't know if every team does workouts after games or if its a Rod thing...but if not you can see how its positively affected this team.  3rd period is them just getting warmed up and they just put the hammer down on teams.  Its awesome to see them go for the jugular late in tight games.

Our speed and forecheck is messing with them. They just don't have an answer to it when we play chip and chase and set the forecheck up. The Isles look  so much slower in comparison. We've been forcing a lot of defensive and neutral zone turnovers.

Hopefully CBJ wins their next two games that way both teams have that rest period.

I actually think too much rest is a detriment because it sometimes takes a game to get going, in the playoffs you can’t afford to take a game off.

If we’re sitting for six days waiting for the next series to start it could mess with our momentum.

Anywho, I thought Svech looked great last night and I’d go ahead and bump him back up to the first or second line.

Hopefully we also get the playoff version of Ferland that everyone has been talking about.

Don’t understand why hockey gets such a bad rap. It’s the fastest sport out of all popular sports, fighting is legal and dudes get the crap beat out of them and still play.

And the Canes lift weights after games. I don't know of a single sport that does that or if many teams do it in the NHL.

by far the best sport to watch live, and playoff hockey is just on a different level from everything else.
