Would the Gettleman haters please stop the bitching?

He's gone. Get over it.

Speaking for myself, I’m celebrating the fact he’s gone, not bitching about his past moves. Strongly disliked the guys performance as our GM and did all my bitching while he was here

no dude stop. lets listen to trey wingy and not let processes play out. we gage everything off of mainstream soap opera ESPN. the platform that was just soooo in the right to not to show Simmons highlights but to shame the kid. I used

I used to like Wingo before Berman took off when he was an afterthought of a reporter/anchor.  Made some ok points.  Now he's always spouting off some BS like he's the moral compass of the entire league.  Fugg that guy.

If that's the case, there shouldnt be any eye rolling when those that feel otherwise challenge it or saying otherwise, would you agree?

Im amazed at how many folks here whine and bring up the previous regime, then have the audacity to rage when the opposite is expressed under the guise that "they just cant let it go that hes gone" like bruh

For the record, I just posted it bc Gettleman is a hot button topic and it's the offseason.

But, I find the media and NYG's fans takes very interesting as well, considering this is who he was here and he didnt have any coverage, good or bad.

again, he doesn't have giant balls and can't be shown to be a genius.  he set the floor for a kid that was just decent in college.  he set that floor to be a good caliber starting qb in the nfl.  that's the floor for the kid because he was the #6 pick.  the kid is supposed to be good.  if he's even matt cassel ok that's abject failure.

I want to know which two teams would have (according to Gettleman) taken Jones prior to the 17th pick. I just don't see it.

OTOH imagine the criticism the Pats would have taken if they'd picked Brady 6th in 2000 instead of 199th. Jones may end up as an All-Pro QB. We'll see.

makes me root for him that much more

if the NYG pans out, his nuts are the size of bowling balls and he gets to teabag and crack people in the face with them

How many of his draft picks worked out here? How many of his guys are still on our squad?

The guy sucks his ego is too big, thinks he knows it all

So suddenly everyone takes what the mentally incapacitated media says as gospel. How the F does anyone know right now how this draft is going to turn out? Gettleman haters need to move on to hating someone else

I dont take anything they say as gospel I can look at his track record when he was with us, he has went to NY and done basically the same thing. Get rid of good/great players check. Sign a mediocre LT to a asinine contract check. He doesn't draft well either.

It's been 3 days since the draft.

We have no idea if literally anyone is any good yet.

Let's evaluate again in 3 years.

100 percent.

The guy went after the QB he wanted with the draft pick he had. Those talking heads have the luxury of making their picks in advance, in a vacuum, and redoing them multiple times before draft day. And next year, they still have a job, no matter how poorly or well they did.

Gettleman picked a QB whose coaching was from the same man as coached both Peyton and Eli Manning. That says a lot. It also says that he will be getting help from Eli in bringing this guy up and that they all share a similar vocabulary and ideal of what the position should entail. And say what you will about Eli, but he has a pair of SB rings and he was instrumental in winning both of those.

The talking heads spend a lot of time telling us how good a QB Phillip Rivers is, but somehow he's two rings, heck two SB appearances behind Eli. Eli is quiet and all shucks, but he's been the only one who has ever outgunned Tom Brady twice in the big showdown.

I don't like Gettleman's management style, but I think he'll have the last laugh on this pick. And the Redskins? When did they become draft pick or QB experts?
