There were multiple reports Panthers loved the kid and pats still traded back at 98 knowing panthers had pick 100...lol at thinking the patriots were seriously considering him.

They was going to pick him at 101. They moved out of spot after we picked him, it was pretty obvious.

The kid could be good.  You never know what may happen but he's a great asset to have.  Better than another DA or whatever Heineke is.

If they really wanted him they would’ve just picked him at 98 instead of trading back to pick up a 6th round pick. Clearly valued the 6th more than Grier.

Who cares. Patriots have GOAT qb and the Panthers have a ???. Clearly we valued a lottery pick for a 4th rounder vs 6th or 5th.

I kinda believe it, but then again why not just take him at 98? Did they think we wanted Stidham? Or do they read the Huddle and knew we'd go Safety?

Let's get one thing straight.  Any random player at QB in the Patriots offense will be better than Grier.  Bill Belicheck could take any of us clowns and turn us into pro bowlers.

What pisses me off about the Pats is they got Chase Winovich at 77 which I’m pretty sure was the pick we gave up... screw those Fers

I believe it. My Pats fan friends were legit shocked/pissed when we picked him. They were expecting to get him in the third. Belichick doesn't flinch during the draft, and probably thought we'd draft someone else there like the rest of us did. I doubt he felt he needed to trade up or pick early to beat us out. Besides, Kraft and Brady would have run Grier out of town the way they did Garoppolo, so he was probably not sweating the pick that hard anyway.
