September 3, 1995. At Atlanta PANTHERS FIRST GAME

Panthers 1st regular season game .

lost in OT 23-20 shocking the NFL.

Panther fans out numbered falcon fans. 

Drove down from Wilmington. 

There must have been over 20,000 Panther fans . 

Hey , it was our first game and this fan base was , all hands on deck for its first game and road game.

Like I said before Steelers 96.  But my favorite game was the October 30, 2005 Minnesota game. A gorgeous clear day, A perfect football day. 

Possibly Steve Smith's greatest game.  Fred Smoots was talking about shutting SS down.  BIG MISTAKE.   Steve Torched Smoots for 199 yds and 2 or 3 TDs.  He torched him so bad that he never recovered and was out of the league a couple years later.

I was there! Sat in the end zone with a perfect view of 89 rowing the boat in his celebration.

Inaugural season, last game of season on Xmas Eve against Skins in RFK (I live in Virginia)...nearly froze to death but I didn’t care. Watched Kerry Collins, Blake Brockermeyer, Wesley Walls, Greg Kragen and the rest try like hell to get the Panthers  to .500 for the season and I swear I was the only Panthers fan there. The Panthers lost but I got to see my new team.

1997 Raiders  we destroyed them.  Fred Lane went absolutely nuts and Kasay kicked his career long field goal.   The whole stadium was rocking when my dad  and I walked out to the chant of FREDDY! FREDDY! FREDDY!

 

 

ps I think Fred carried about 25 players 3 coaches and a trainer about 50 feet out of bounds and still didnt go down. He had an amazing day.  Also I love how this exact same thread pops up every few years its nice to reflect.

Took leave and drove all the way from Ft Huachuca AZ to be there.  That whole week before and after was awesome for me.

Same here, we actually took a charter bus from Eastland mall down to Death Valley and back.

      I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛

      bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
