With the 7 draft picks and these 4 unofficial UDFA our roster sits at 89 players. Not much room for many more rookies, look for some vets like Da'Norris Searcy to get cut next week.

I dunno about that this early...

Oh look, a Cal LB. Wonder if Rivera had anything to do with that?

Well, now we know that 4 players responded to our Craigslist ad.

We should have gone after the Colorado FS.

This just smells as if nothing was done to get players.  I guess this does not matter much, but we have had a few good ones over the years.

Since people mentioned players who could be cut:

On defense, we are looking for hybrid players--so one-dimensional players are unlikely to stick if they cannot play dual roles.

I look for players like Cox and Obada to become casualties.

Not before the London game. They’ll find a way to keep him around, at least until then.

UDFAs aren’t always exciting but we’ve pulled some good ones out recently like Norwell and Horton but this group is about as uninspiring as you get. Almost like we didn’t care. There were some Safeties and CBs who might have made the roster (our bottom guys at those spots aren’t good) but we didn’t appear to try.

You know nothing about any of these players, no need to pretend

Lol. I’m one of the people on here who really enjoys the draft process and watches stuff like Senior Bowl practices and combine drills. I’m certainly not a scout but I don’t think seeing sparks and abilities in some of these guys isn’t hard. For instance, you can go back to all the TE discussions the past two years and you can see my posts liking guys like Kittle, Dissly and our own Thomas and panning guys like Gesicki. It was obvious to me (not the Dolphins) that Gesicki was a numbers athlete and didn’t look like a real TE in the drills. I would have drafted Thomas way before Gesicki and it showed last year.

Anyway, I’m not a scout and I didn’t sleep at a Holiday Inn last night but there are a handful of us talking draft stuff and players every year. If anyone knows these guys, it’s us. My opinion still stands that Hurney cared about AAF guys and not UDFAs and I think that is apparent. Maybe he’s never really pulled a Norwell so he doesn’t try.

Man, some people don’t like any criticism.

If I didn’t like any criticism I wouldn’t come here because that’s literally all the hell anyone does anymore. It’s a big nursery full of babies.

I love how so many fans treat Hurney like Trump, it’s hilarious.

“No LT? Hurney gonna get Cam killed. Fire Hurney”

(drafts LT)

”Ah! Well, nevertheless”

It’s like this board is scared of people that actually know something about football and the actual players involved. They get intimidated, then lash out because they can’t comprehend that level of understanding.

That’s the uninformed masses that you’re a part of.

I’ve screamed for months that the LTs sucked in this draft. So why would I not complain when we waste 2 quality picks on a lazy one.

Then compound it by wasting another pick on a backup QB we hope never plays.

Who are our 3-4 DEs, FS, NCB.

Then a ton of talent falls to the 5th and we take a JAG RB. With Mack and Omenihu still there.

And Hurney typically being too lazy to bring in some quality UDFAs.

Lol. Aw, did someone cry a little when I said Hurney ignored UDFAs? You had to login as your  alias @Cavscout and poo my post and pie yours. Damn, that’s sad. Also, great response to my post.

Is this serious? He did it to me too. That’s a new level of sad and pathetic...LOL
