How do you think we'll fare against the Cardinals?

I have to admit that it's nice to see the Cardinals get some respect. As a Cardinals fan, there are a few things that worry me about this game. Our shut down corner, DRC, sprained his ankle in the Giant's game and Rolle hurt his foot. If they are unable to play, this will weaken our secondary significantly. This could lead to Cardinals killer Steve Smith to have a monster day.

As far as our run defense, the emergence of Alan Branch and Calais Campbell (6'8" with two blocked field goals this year) has provided allot depth on our defensive line, providing a strong rotation that has kept our line fresh in the forth quarter. J. Bridges whom you cut, has been doing a nice job rotating into our offensive line with his ability to play multiple postions. Beanie Wells is starting to show some flashes of providing the Cardinals with a break away threat, but both he and Hightower have fumbled the ball in key situations this year. As far as Fitz, teams have been double teaming him all year and Warner has not been looking his way as much which has been frustrating to the fans. Boldin is hobbled and could hardly run in the second half of the Giants game. Breaston is healthy again giving us a big boost. He can easily be a number two reciever on most teams.

The Cardinals are playing with allot of confidence after wins in Seattle and the Giants. The key has been fast starts and coach Whiz is starting to instill a Steeler mentality into both the offense and defense. The first drive of the Seattle game consumed over 10 minutes which was unheard of in the past. We are running more and throwing more screens and check downs instead of throwing the ball deep. When we were 1-2 this frustrated the fans, but it's amazing what three straight victories can do. Whiz is a master of trick plays. Rackers may be the best onsides kicker in the league.

Heres to a good game that is injury free. I still can't figure out how we seem to play each other every season. From what I saw of a projected schedule, we may be playing you again next year.

I wanted Calisis Campbell last year. Can't believe he went in the 2nd.

Matt Moore was terrible in the preseason. I cheered for him to get the backup job but he just didn't earn it on the field. I still say you start him, then Jake as the #2 this week.

And Jake was great in preseason, didn't throw a single interception. Maybe we will get a little reverse karma.

FWIW, I think the game will be closer than our last game against Arizona. :)

I wonder if Fox, in the last nine months to ponder, has figured out not to leave #11 alone on the outside without a double team? Hmmmmm....Fox........adjusting....I-I don't know fellas.

If, for once, we can create a few TO's, maybe a sack-fumble on Warner or something, that could set us up with a short field, that would be great.

John Fox is the best/worse coach. He will get this team to play up to its potential giving us a chance to win even in the 4th quarter. That is if we can stop turnovers and give up easy points.

20-28 cardinals late in the 4th quarter. A failed 4th down attempt with moore's inexperience will show and the cardinals will get a late field goal and win 31-20.

Carolina will be making more turnovers than a fuging bakery. Cards will stack the box, but will not be able to stop the run very well. Two running touchdowns for Carolina, one to each back. Cards defense will double team Smitty the whole fuging game. He won't catch more than five passes. Dante Rosario will drag in a touchdown. That's all for Carolina. Two sacks for the Carolina D#, one to TD and one to JP. One INT by Jon Beastin'. The Carolina OL will suck as usual. One blocked Carolina field goal attempt from the 20. One Cardinal punt return will go for a touchdown. One Fitz touchdown. One Breaston touchdown. One Hightower touchdown. Panthers lose 28-21. Game over for Carolina for three seasons.

BTW, I've been a Carolina fan since 95. I know what the hell I'm talking about. I'm not jumping off the Team Wagon, I'm simply facing reality, as we always have done every other season or so. This is what is gonna happen. This season, we'll be lucky to finish 5-11. Fox, Hurney, Jake, Pep, and several other key people are likely to be gone, so this franchise will be in shambles at the bottom of the ranks for several seasons.

You buncha Negative Nancy's. How soon you forget that Fox and Co. know what it takes to beat the Cards at their house. In fact, I am assisting them right now.

BRB....

*hello, you have reached the Testaverde residence. Sorry we can't come to the phone because we are out back soaking Vinnie's knees in the hot tub. Please leave a message, beeeeeeeep*

Don't worry, I'll keep trying.....

I'm going to be honest.....I love this message board.

It reminds me of our recent golden age on azcards forums, 1999-2002. Hang in there guys, parody in the NFL is so great that I wouldn't be surprised if you beat us this week. Every team has great athletes and anyone can beat anyone.

i like a good parody.

The Cards offense is just the kind that has given the Fox-esque defense fits for years. Add to that our offense hasn't been able to sustain drives for years. We still can't cover, and especially not dinky dunky stuff that Warner specializes in. They will get the ball often and score quickly just about every time they do. This will be a nightmare by halftime.

Don't forget the Cardinals have not looked so awe-inspiring great at home. Sure they beat the mighty Texans by 7, but they made the 49ers look like a division champ in week 1 and got hammered hard by the Colts. They could be so pumped up after winning in NY that they come out flat and stumble. It would not surprise me, although I can't count on it. They control their destiny in division.
