I wouldn't have had a problem if that RB was chosen with a 7th round pick.  That's what 7th's are for... to get guys under contract for your team that you might not otherwise be able to sign as an UDFA.

But a 5th?  This is why he (and Ron) has the reputation he has.

Yeah.  At this point of the draft I would want 2 more swings.  Don’t care about the points at that point.  For. 2nd or 3rd is different story.

Getting drafted as a skills player is so tough. 33 rec td in 2 years and undrafted with the 6th round winding down. That's crazy.

Nope I'm just laughing at Hurney for always getting beat in trades. I even posted I am not even looking it up because I already knew he ended up on the wrong end of it. Yup just fuggin lol he got beat on the earlier trade too. That isn't a measly 16 points.

The total number of points that Marty gave up in this draft is the equivalent of a late third rounder.  Throw in the fifth rounder we pissed away...

we have zero information about what went into the first trade outside of a phantom point system. we’re there were other teams negotiating for the spot as well? maybe, probably. it could have been a sellers market, maybe not. he may have done well, he may not. we don’t know. claiming he was fleeced, destroyed, abused, whatever good or bad doesn’t make any sense, because we just don’t know.
