Because you can't win without a QB.  Cam couldn't make it the season last year.  This gives us the ability to pull him immediately and put a guy in there who can still lead us to the playoffs.  At worst, he'll be the backup for a few years.  Today was all about Cam.

Yeah I'd love a FS too...but something tells me we're not done in FA either.  Not to mention, we'll be picking again relatively soon and a couple guys out there could fall, or we trade up at a lower cost. 

 

A backup was needed, and we should be happy Hurney waited to blow the load at #100.  Grier is our #2, Kyle Allen is #3, and a healthy Cam is an MVP candidate.  I'm fine with this.
