Holy fug, you think Little can play OG?

lololololol

He was one of the LEAST aggressive OTs in the SEC, dude.  You GOTTA be a mauler to play inside with success.  A "mauler" Little is NOT.

weird, I wonder why there wasn't any other Tackles from the SEC being slated to be drafted in the first two rounds. You'd think the least aggressive tackle in the SEC wouldn't even be considered.

You can question the trade up, but this roster absolutely needed a tackle.

See, I am the opposite.

You can't question the trade up.  But if someone said we should have drafted someone else with the trade up, while I would disagree I'd at least understand.

Absolutely had to trade up to get a quality OT.

To the guys b******* our OL looks so much better at this point, I mean how can you not see this as an upgrade, whether he's inside or out - GVR / Larsen are now depth where they should be.

Moton / Little / Paradis / Turner / Williams

Damn, that line looks even more appealing when its put like that.  Obviously Little still has to prove his worth, but it's definitely way better than in the past.  And we've got some quality depth too - Little can slide to tackle if Moton/Williams get hurt, Larsen can step in at center at any time and Roten has starting experience at least.

He was awful the first time around and hasn’t gotten better with age. I want the team to be successful, but can’t wait for Tepper to wake the fug up and get rid of Hurney.

as soon as tepper’s done looking at site plans for a proper practice facility for the team that should’ve been built like 20 years ago, i hope he starts to keep a close watch on the incumbent overlords bc their body of work won’t stand up to half decent scrutiny

I think Matsko liked what he saw and apparently wanted Little. As a respected line coach in the NFL for a long time, I trust his judgement. I think that nitpicking over Ford or Risner is just that. Matsko and company have a decent track record here.

Mine didn't even like watching me play once I got past pee wee level. She was always scared to death of me getting hurt.

I finally convinced her to come to the first high school game I started. Very first play, I got my helmet knocked off while making a tackle.

I think she watched the rest of the game through her fingers.

You're Mama sounds awesome.

My Mama thought getting hurt is what boys do, lol.

That's a list of our 5 best guys at this point, Travelle Wharton wasn't a mauler, he also had the ability to kick out to LT those times Gross was out due to injury. I feel whether inside or out we will have a very good OL next season.

Enjoy yourself.

He has enough athleticism and balance to work at the 2nd level where he delivers key blocks. His skills as a run blocker opens the door for a move inside to guard if needed

.....

It’s important to note that Little would project as a very strong guard prospect if evaluators feel he can’t handle the left tackle spot.

Like Jawaan Taylor?

Who was picked BEFORE Little?

That kind of SEC tackle?

It feels like you are just thinking of 2nd and mid-round players that didn't work out and comparing him to Little, because I don't know how Little, an OT, could possibly remind you of Clausen, a QB.

There is no way Little was lasting even to our #47 pick.  I don't know how he was overvalued, unless you simply don't think he's going to be good, fair enough if that is the case.  But he was taken right around where he should have been.

A prospect that was unimpressive that Hurney had a hurn-on for, gee I wonder what the connection would be with Clausen. Or Gauldin, another prospect that was unimpressive that we just loved. I didn't want us to take him at all let alone with the 47th pick. I don't have a problem with you liking the pick or the fact I do not, there is a history of these kinds of picks with Hurney so it shouldn't be news to you that is a least a real possibility.

Whose pick do you think this is. Let's be real here, Matso and Turner signed off. They told Hurney who to pick. I don't know if Little is better than other guys. But for what we want to run, apparently our staff thinks he fits best. I hope they are right. I was on the Greedy train for that pick. Or a safety.
