I think this is exactly why we drafted him.  The whole concept of the hybrid defense is for players to be able to stay on the field whether it is 4-3 or 3-4.  I wasn't shocked by the pick and immediately thought Rivera and Co. Believe he will be able to play both.

We almost have too many 3-4 OLBs. That’s where I’d have Addison, Cox and Obada in a 3-4. They are all on the smaller end and having them at DE would really be a stretch.  Feeling very thin on the DL at the moment.

Tried to look up some comparable pics of them, which is probably unfair outside of combine images bc apparently that's where Burns put his weight on...

But, looking at their college pics, Von definitely looks more compact, stout, bottom-heavy and thicker overall - especially noticeable in the shoulders, waist, and lower legs.

Cant rule out the possibility of that rookie doghouse with Rivera. For all we know he may get only 15 snaps a game. I dont trust Rivera.
