So we're full time 3-4 now? Or is he only coming in when we play 3-4? Or is he playing 4-3 DE then 3-4 OLB? I think the thing people are worried about is the 4-3 DE part although, I'd be concerned if yes is the answer for the first 2 questions.

Looks like we will play mostly 3-4 with Irvin and Burns additions.  We also have Addison and few others.  We are loaded at LB.

To play devils advocate. How many Von Millers are there? Not many

If he played anywhere else he wouldn't have made it out of the top 10

The dude's #'s were on pace with Von Millers his first 2 seasons when they both were playing their natural position at OLB.

Burns had a coaching change and scheme change, playing 4-3 DE which isnt his most natural fit and STILL produced.

His combine #'s were also on pace with him

And his drills as well

Thing people are missing is we are assuming the rest of our LBs and DEs will be effective in the 3-4. Having only a couple LBs that we know can play it doesn't boost confidence that it will work that way.

We might not.

Even if we do

Dude is helluva versatile

Mcshay on sportcenter mock draft had us getting him

And they said he is skilled enough, he could even play that joker 4-3 OLB role that Anthony Barr plays in Minnesota
