Hes not Von Miller. Hes a gimmick that we wasted a pick on in the first round. We have the same needs going into tomorrow that we do today. That's bad drafting

A gimmick player who never missed a snap in college and did the transition from 3/4 to 4/3..

Produced every year and has the highest pressures and pressure rate in this class..

We needed a edge Rusher and that's what we got..

Do some research before posting dumb poo..

What's dumb is you drinking the koolaid. He is a gimmick and nothing else. We needed Sweat or Wilkens. Wilkens went off the board and Sweat was a no brainer. That was until Marty and Ron started thinking they were getting Von Miller, who this kid isnt

You're hate for this pick is irrational at best. He's not a gimmick player, he was the best edge player in this draft and he's a perfect fit for Carolina.

This is the worst post of the day...Kid lead the Nation in Qb pressures...If you think he doesn't help the pass rush your not watching football. This kid has all the talent in the world.

I disagree. He was not the best player available for our needs

Sweat was never in play for Carolina, never. He doesn't fit the type of player Rivera wants and I'll leave it at that.

And when Everett Brown 2 shows up, remind me

4-5 inches taller... Completely different play styles, the only thing they have in common is they played at FSU. Burns has pretty good moves and hand use where brown was more a one trick pony... nothing gimmicky about this kid. If you want to play more 3-4 there probably isnt 2 more suited pass rushers in this class at outside backer.

What we need was a edge rusher with no red flags, a superior athlete, with high upside, that fits the multiple front defense we're installing this year.. And we got the perfect fit for that at a needed position..

Side note..

I'm really tired of these Sweat nut huggers who don't know how past... only notice him from the Senior bowl .. and fell in live with him from a workout... He wasn't on your radar a year ago.. Stop acting like he is the perfect prospect.. He fell in the draft from having multiple red flags on his character.. DEAL WITH IT..

I watched him for 2 years as a season ticket holder at Mississippi State. He made mistakes at Mich State and  grew up like most do. So he was not a combine wonder and was top 5 in the SEC for 2 straight years in sacks and tackles for loss with zero red flags. He met our needs much more than Burns.
