Regardless of who we take at 16, or if we trade back from it, would y'all want to trade back up in the early 2nd to take Simmons from Miss St. if he's there?

He would be a great value there, but wont be available this year. Daniel Jeremiah said 5 years from now we will look back and he will have been the best player in the draft. Said his major comparison is Fletcher Cox

But I believe the Raiders at 27, Rams at 31 or NE at 32 select him.

I think the Chargers

They are trying to beef a DT to add to the DL with Bosa

And have proven they are not scared of ACL injuries that scare others. (See them scooping up Derwin james last year when he fell for the same reason Simmons is falling)

I’d add in Wilkins as well. I want Burns or Sweat bad. There’s a good bunch of FS/G/RT guys in the 2nd/3rd that Is be happy getting another day 2 pick to move down a little and take day Lindstrom or Murphy, etc.

Yep.  Nice catch.  I do not see us getting out of round 2 without a S.  I am starting to want Savage--he is the type of player who could sneak into the back of the first round---

I would still love a scenario where we could get two late 1st’s for 16 and 47. With the sole intention of using one pick on Simmons. A top 5 pick and 18 months to rehab before his first game. For a late 1st with a 5th year option.

SEA and OAK both have two late firsts that line up perfectly with ours. But this is a pipe dream from me being bored.

That’s a ton of movement for the first round

In recent years there was around 8 per, teams mainly move for QBs and I don't believe this year's class is worthy. 5 is light compared to recent years.

Mayock, I think, says the draft is strong between 20-60.  To your point.

Rumor:  Pittsburgh feels it may need to move up for Bush---OLB.  They love him and think they will need to drop from 20 to the middle to get him---they could be a trading partner if we want out---

I got Bush going top ten, almost 100% before Panthers pick.(I was way early on his hype train) Steelers rarely move up, not buying that rumor.

That was correct.
