So this great mentality has gotten us how many SB rings? Hell yeah, keep pounding......into a perennial 7-9 team. I dont care about cosmetics, I want Championships.

I don't know how you think a Loser mentality translates to Superbowls and wins.  If it is bad now imagine if we take your.loser mentality, we might become the Raiders. No thanks. Take your loser mentality elsewhere. You won't find sanctuary here.

Everyone here is pissing and moaning, but I totally, 100% agree with OP.  That was the most idiotic thing we could have ever done.  It was literally the most "Panthers" thing ever.  Pissed me the hell off.

Then you clearly have no understanding about players and how they think. The only idiotic thing is thinking a professional football team would ask players to lose on purpose. In fact if I were Rivera and you quit on me you would be looking for a new team and I don't care who you are or what dead money I would lose. That kind of cancer erodes the team and kills a locker room. One of the things I love about Luke and Cam is they hate losing. We might lose anyway but you better be giving me 100% effort all the time or I will replace you with someone who think millions of dollars to play a game is a deal and give their all.  I heard the Raiders are looking for fans. Sounds like their loser mentality and yours would be a good match.

The Saints got beat by a practice squad quarterback and quite a few backup players in with all their starters in except Brees,...

I wouldn’t say we TRIED to win that game— it was a chance for a lot of guys to go out and play hard.

you guys have to remember each season can be the last for quite a few players. No one likes going out a loser and it’s really unfair to tell guys that might be playing their last game to play likeshit.

anyone who thinks like that has no business running any type of professional organization.

Imagine the CEO of Disney playing to lose or Microsoft or anyone really.

Totally ridiculous concept-

No just letting you know how most folks who actually know a little about football think about your loser mentality posts. It was for you and the OP and the rest who keep ignorantly parroting the same thing which to anyone who has played sports at any level is beyond ignorant.

If we trade up early, I'll be rocking back and forth chanting "please don't trade next year's first" over and over until I hear the terms.

What if we did give up next years first, but then later traded up again with a bunch of 2s and then traded down to regain the original firsts

NO game aside, Hurney knows his job is likely on the line this season so I doubt he deals the farm or anything to trade up. Love him or hate him he played the last draft smartly and resisted the urge to trade the future for the present. If anything I can see him trading back to get more picks. I would be floored if he traded up in the first.
