Scott Fowler on first rd pick

I would love a true LT. I'm not sure who that would be this year. I wish it could be Moton but the staff seem dead set against that. William's looked awful at LT and RG, and he is on a one year deal so I'm not putting too much hope in that option this year or going forward. I have no idea what we will do. It could be a good move or a complete disaster. Hell, I dont even know what we think a LT looks like if they feel that strongly against trying Moton more last year.

There's a general delusion on this board of what quality line play in today's NFL is supposed to look like, driven in part because people don't understand how elite current NFL offenses operate.

Your average Huddler expects some line at the LOS full of Grit and Heart and Passion  while the QB drops back 7 steps, spends 7-8 seconds surveying 5 or 6 different reads before eventually hitting a 45 yard strike off PA down the side line.

The Panthers have an All-Pro RT. A 2nd round pick and rising star at LT. A big money FA signing at a position teams don't typically value. And a Pro Bowl RG.

This is exhorbitant and atypical in a league with depressed value on the OTs and  passing attacks that prioritize 3 step drops to thto the ins and outs.

The bad moves (signings, non-signings, draft) that were made 3-4 years ago has continued to bite us in the tail. Now, we are in a position of needing high round 1 quality players on both sides of the line. Sucks for the oline that the defensive side of line just about has to be addressed 1st. I believe that is why Harney tried to address the oline the best he could with what money he had to work with during FA. I will be very surprised if the team does not go after 1 of the best pass rushers available.

Stop wasting characters. You only rear your head around here to spout stupidity in the offseason. We both know you'll be MIA like usual when the season starts.

lol what are you even talking about, my posting history on this internet forum you're so  invested in is pretty welll documented, and is established as being a fan of the team as a whole rather than some race war weirdo ranting out of personal insecurities

The panthers have already spent an exhorbitant amount on their OL it's getting to the point where it's starting to  look like excuse making for the QB.

color me skeptical that Scott Fowler even knows what championship caliber OL play even looks like in today's NFL

money spent does not equal good play.

If that were the case Matt Kalil would be getting sized for his gold jacket right now.

Until the product on the field matches the resources spent and a clean pocket for the QB...spend away.

Yall really believe Rivera will start a rookie tackle?

Think again.

At Guard, yes.

And he will then be forced to move to OT if Daryl's knee gives out.  If our future LT/RT plays all year at G, so be it.  Chances of Daryl being back next year I'm sure are slim to none, so it is what it is.

    • So a Ben Johnson led Commanders team likely had Sam Howell throwing to Scary Terry and MHJ or Nabers. I think Johnson would have made that work well, but Commanders fans are happy with Daniels. Let’s see how that looks potentially without KK.
    • Curious to see how the summer slide affect Bryce and if he will begin the season as strong as he ended it. Also, play Bryce in the preseason. Him being protected last preseason was stupid.
