I would add, if I'm being completely honest here, that one of my first reactions would be to run to the store because I haven't got anywhere near enough popcorn for what would be about to happen next.

If the Panthers go QB in round 1 I will hope we can trade Cam for a 1st round pick. I love Cam and think the FO would be stupid for doing this, but if they do then they should go all in on their stupidity.

Then that would mean that gave up the next 2 drafts. There is only 2 1st round qbs and 1 will probably go #1, the other will be gone well before our pick and i would pass on anyway. There for not happening.

Are we getting set up for a 2nd or 1st 3rd round qb selection?

Meh...fan of the Panthers if they choose to move on, so be it. There’s reasons to do so. Wouldn’t do anything just keep rooting for the Panthers to win it all.

If they like someone enough to do it, we’ll see how it turns out but next year seems like a better moment to do it.

Here's the thing.  I see a QB in round 1 as a total rebuild mode and this team doesn't need to go into total rebuild mode.  I'd much prefer us to trade Cam for another established QB if we wanted to make such a drastic move.  He has to have some type of value unless his shoulder is just completely shot.
