Looks like no reason trade up if you believe these ratings. Their top player has pro bowl “potential.”

I wouldn't look too much into these. They are always very very conservative. I think they started this particular metric in 2014, changed from their old system. It seems like they're even more strict this year, as players like Quennin Williams and Devin White would be in the very high 6s in the past. Usually you'll only see the really high end guys like Mack/Bosa/etc hovering  around 6.2-6.7. Most classes will only have 1 or 2 guys in the 7s if you're lucky. I think since doing this there's been like 5 or 6 of them? We're talking low risk super high end with little to no flaws like Garrett, Clowney, Barkley, Bradley Chubb, Quentin Nelson and what not. From what I remember, Garrett and Clowney were the only ones with grades above 7.5 using this newer system, with Garrett being the highest at around 7.6. I actually think this is a very good fun class with lots of high end talent floating around in positions of our need. I doubt we'd trade up for any of them though.

That scale is bshet they never give anyone a top grade.  Stupid.

Agree the scale is very screwed up. Most 2nd round guys are graded in the 5s but end up starting as a rookie.

Side note- unless I’m viewing this wrong, cam had a grade of 8.1

8.19 actually so he’s lightyears ahead of any pick this year by that scale,..

Im fairly sure(99%) they changed the scoring system since then.

Andrew Luck’S combine profile says 97% so I would say so.

otherwise if the best players in this draft, Allen, Q Williams and Bosa are only rated 6.7 compared to other drafts then I wouldn’t draft anyone in the first round.

If that’s true——i would do whatever I could to drop back maybe a couple of times and stockpile 2nd-4th round picks— the scale only drops to the mid 5s at that point.

Jalen Jelks for example is like 5.6 where Burns is like 5.9,.. that’s minimal drop off to justify a first round guy versus a 3-5th round guy(I’ve seen Jelks mocked in the high 2nd to low 5th and everywhere in between and a few 6th even)

christian Wilkins is 6.6,... and Khalen Saunders is 5.7,.. minimal drop off to justify a first round versus 3rd.
