Our entire draft direction is contingent on Moton.

You expecting Ron and company not to make really questionable roster and depth chart decisions after years of watching them do it, again and again is the definition of  illogical.

But keep spouting out that what you say is gospel and anyone else’s take is foolish. I’m about to get off my sofa and take my daughters to an Easter Parade.

So I’ll leave you to it. Maybe you can pull your “I know I’m smarter than everyone, I just know it” tidy whiteys up even tighter so your head feels like it’s it has proper neck support while it’s up your own ass..

I love how people on this board who do not have access to the coaches film, meeting time, etc. always say that this coaching staff makes bad personnel decisions. Yes Ron Rivera is attempting to sabotage the Carolina Panthers because they didnt draft him in the first round when he came out of Cal. Not only that, but he never wants to coach the game he loves so much ever again. Give me a break. You guys are really silly sometimes. Open up a new back of pork rinds and STFU.

Fair points. Amini Silatolu though.  I think it is understood that we are just spitballing here, but I will take you up on the pork rinds.  Love em.

Your role here is not to comment on how you think I should act. I don't care if you like it or not.  I never called you stupid-I just pointed out examples that you provided when you got personal.  Go away--you have already violated the rules of this forum.

Just saying,.. you can’t cry violation of the rules of the forum when you are stating and defining adversaries, making insinuations that others are illogical which is another form of stupid.

what I would say is it’s actually much more funny to read these types of posts back and forth— no different than sitting at s bar talkingshit to each other.

you are the one that threw stones and then cried uncle— like a guy that hits people in the back of the head and thinks it funny then cries when he gets a bloody nose.

Moton is a hopeful, we should all want him to succeed, and maybe he will—or maybe he won’t. I still think Jonah Williams is the guy we should draft hopefully if he’s at 16, much more tough than Dillard and he’s versatile— will plug in where he’s needed now and the future.

I’m with you on that.  As much as I hate it I think he is the pick.  Hope I’m wrong on his Bust status.

I have heard NFL scouts like him as the best pure LT in the draft, but I have read some really negative stuff about him.  Not sure I would be happy, but I am never happy with our first rounders--then they prove me wrong--Kuechly?  Hated the pick.  Cam?  Thought he was a bust waiting to happen.  Here is what you do:  Run the pick by  me--if I hate it, that means "future hall of famer"

Read the entire exchange, if you care more than I do. Never played the victim--I was playing "get away, gnat."

On display. Argued quite logically back but disagreed with your opinion and in both cases you “get away gnat” as you put it.

Just saying, can’t cry rule violations and uncle when you are talkingshit over a beer too.

personally I can take this stuff all day long without crying “rule violations”.  If everyone is so mechanical then it shouldn’t be a forum— should be a news opinion section.

Anyone who actually watched saw Williams play LT in preseason before he became the RT should have a good idea. Moton played so much better against the Pats 1st team D for most of the game and then the. Cowboys than Williams. Williams at LT was Remmers and Kalil bad.

I’m OK with competition but I’m with you that I have no faith in our decisions. Put Moton at LT and solve one problem. Put the guy who’s played RT his whole career and looked bad at LT at RT. Draft tackle depth a little later where you can get Williams replacement with less draft capital so we can get DL help we so desperately need in the first.

When we had our disagreement, I was pointing out  that they have shown no real interest in Moton at LT based on the fact that they did not play him there.  I wish they had--it could impact the draft.  I just have no confidence that RR is considering Moton at LT.  Not pretending to know more than the staff, but maybe RR will start taking Moton seriously now.

Take a player in the third who can play RT or LG in the draft and let them compete at RT.  However, there are still signs they  are not willing to give LT to Moton.  At least he can compete for it, but  that is what they said last year, if I am not wrong.

Sure do, not sure you do. The point is that we all disagree, and we can do smartass things like def Adversary etc— that was funny. Just as funny was the barb back about def Douchebag.

personally I don’t feel any of this violates anything, it was funny reading it and makes everything much more fun to post and read here.

Whether Moton works out as a full time solution at left tackle is left to be seen.

again— personally I believe this is why a Jonah is a much better choice of pick than Dillard if possible because Jonah can plug in where he’s needed rather than only left tackle(and a small playing left tackle at that)

you always have to have the next man up— wouldn’t matter if we had Joe Thomas, still have to have a backup plan

We also need to stop relying on any future with Daryl in the plans.  If he balls out this year, solid chance he cashes in elsewhere.  If the leg isn't back to 100% (which, the contract may say), he's not a starter here for the next few years anyway.

Regardless if Moton is LT or RT...another OT is necessary.

Nope. Word on the street is both Moton and Williams will get plenty of looks on the left. It is possible.

They both should get plenty of looks and rightly so. You've got to be able to judge the best for the position without any preconceived notions.

Right and I still pointed out the big fact that Moton was our starting LT to start the season. If Lawrence doesn’t dive into Williams knee, who’s our LT all year? I don’t pretend to know the staff but they’ve never said we move Moton to RT because he’s not a LT or we’d rather have him as a G. They did say that Clark was more comfortable on the left and they have always said (and Moton himself) that Moton can play all over.so they moved him to have a better overall OL. Anything else was pure conjecture and not what the coaches said. I don’t want to rehash it anyway. I just don’t trust the way we play some people over players that when they finally play are better.

Right...I’ll never understand some of the depth chart moves this team makes. Or how they’ll talk about someone “flashing” repeatedly but keep playing someone they're outperforming ahead of them. I throw that in with the clock management and in game adjustments bin for things that hold this team back
