My Carolina mock draft

I got 50$ saying we don't take Little in 1st round..

I was more aiming at Little being a first round pick in general. If Dillard made it to us, Dillard would be the pick, which could still very well happen.

Lmao who doesn't know about the qbs! Irvin that was like 10 years ago. Is that all you got that u have ever been right about?

If you don't think Little will be a first round pick make the bet

-I'd be kind of surprised if Tunsil got to our pick in the 2nd. Could he fall out of the 1st? Sure, but he is still a potential anchor at left tackle.

-Taylor Rapp's 40 doesn't matter, and he is one of the most instinctive safeties in the draft in the mold of Harrison Smith

-Lonnie Johnson Jr is a solid 1st round grade CB, very lengthy, can play zone, and be our best press corner.

-Bradbury can absolutely play guard

-

Somehow literally everything you just said is completely wrong... Taylor Rapps 40 is exactly why we shouldn’t draft him, he has no range he is a SS. We desperately need a FS to pair with Reid, I’m absolutely tired of these slow ass safety’s getting burnt(Marty realizes this.) Also, Lonnie Johnson is a 3rd round corner at best, everything about him screams an average corner and we need a slot corner desperately. Also Dillard is very much like Matt Kalil, he lacks physicality. Yes, he had potential but he is a project, give me Jonah Williams every time over another “project” “insane athlete” tackle, their bust rate is ridiculous. Btw, I don’t even get the huddles obsession with taking a tackle in the first, the only exception being Jonah Williams for he can slide to LG year one and move to LT if we don’t resign Daryl. Let’s finally prioritize getting younger at edge, give me Brian Burns or Rashan Gary both fit our defense.

I'll honestly be ecstatic if we manage to get Dillard or if we draft a LT at all in the first, seems like we have neglected it since Gross retired.

Taking an OT at 16 would provide the biggest immediate impact for our team.

We plug two (ass) holes with either Jonah Williams or Andre Dillard in the 1st.

We get a long term LT and move Daryl Williams to LG and in the process strengthen both positions.

I don't trust other teams stupidity but I got 25 on that..

He ain't betting nothing. His whole story has change since he did the source thing in the other thread. He said his source didn't know who we would be going after. Now all of a sudden he knows it would be Little. To now saying Dillard would be the pick. Everyone knows we are not picking damn Little at 16. I think we are taking a DE, DL or S first pick

First post literally says Dillard will be the pick if there, if not then Little. He doesn't think Dillard will make it to 16, which is why the main option is Little and not Dillard.

Reading comprehension and not jumping to conclusions with out reading is nice.

Verge did cover himself with the Dillard comment..but can’t defend the rest of that shet show.  Have not seen a mock I hated every pick like this one.

Not trying to be mean but as a huge Panthers fan that wants them to succeed.. I truly hate this mock more than some ex girlfriends...lol

Now he is a first Rd pick before u said he was the pick at 16. Make ur mind up dude

He literally stated to begin with that even if Little isnt the pick at 16 that he is still a potential 1st rounder, that didnt change.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
