I'm not as high in Rapp as he seems more of a box safety fit, personally would like to see a rangier FS to pair with Reid's skill-set. 

A lot of negative knocks on Rapp's athleticism / testing similar to the ''safety'' version of Gaulden at least regarding combine testing. I'm not a work out warrior guy, BUT I want to see the athleticism displayed at the combine to match the tape.

Rapp looks like a stud SS, but as OP points out we don't need a SS we need a FS with range. 

Could just be due diligence in case we trade down and acquire more picks and could use a luxury pick

I like him, I just don't like him paired with Reid. I don't like either handle a lot of deep coverage responsibility. Someone would be playing out of position on virtually every defensive snap.
