Polite as the 3rd in pass rush.  Terrible combine, bad interviews and bad pro day.  Yeah, he will end up a steal for someone.  I watched some interviews and he is different but a character.  He can rush the passer, no doubt.  I like him,  do want.

unless of course, it turns out he has a poo work ethic and his not taking the draft process seriously reflects his not taking football seriously

 

best case scenario he's just a huge dumb ass. Worst case scenario he has work ethic problems and was just a natural freak athlete

Top 15 passed on James was projected top 5. Ended up arguably defensive rookie of the year and pro bowl.

Polite ran a horrible 40. Dout any one confuses him with a freak athlete, he’s more a “good effort, football player guys.

I'll say this about Polite. I like him more than the Huddle's obsession with Arden Key from LSU a few years ago.

I don't remember any top 5 projections for James. He went right around, if maybe slightly later than most had him slotted as far as I can recall.

Minkah Fitzpatrick was the S getting top 5 talk and he went #11.

That’s true. I think he runs a better 40 if he didn’t gain a projected ~10 pounds before the combine. Most guys train for the 40 and he didn’t the opposite his tape is more freak athlete than his combine though, I didn’t disagree with that

Minkah Fitzpatrick was the S getting top 5 talk and he went #11.

Minkah was praised for his character/ work ethic/ football iq. His stock begin to fall towards the draft as most people realized he was best suited as a nickel. Maybe it’s recency bias, but I’m pretty sure Derwin was the consensus top S the day of the draft

It was definitely the biggest draft fall of first round at the least.
