I would get a true chuckle out of this if Davenport turned to be this low in the rankings in a couple years. Siants May have blown this one   But it will take a couples years to find out.

2019 prospects vs 2018
Bradley Chubb
Nick Bosa
Montez Sweat
Rashan Gary
Clelin Ferrell
Marcus Davenport
Brian Burns
Zach Allen
Breeland Speaks
Kemoko Turay
Tyquan Lewis
Jaylon Ferguson
Chad Thomas
Sam Hubbard
Jachai Polite
Rasheem Green

If the Saints kept the pick they would be picking at 30 and still wouldnt be able to draft any of the guys ranked ahead of Davenport

C+ grade for this year's DE class?

L-O-fuging-L! This is why no one takes him seriously.

I figure he must be excluding the edge/olbs, but that still leaves zack allen, R. Gary, Furgeson, etc.  I see it IFFFF that is what he was doing.

Lol. Do you get that I’m not even supporting Ealy ? Damn, you’ve got way too much love for a guy with 16 sacks in 4 years as the #3 overall pick. I just think it’s funny that you defend a guy who had the same stats as Kony in his 3 years with the team that drafted him and his great playoff run wasn’t even as good as Ealy’s Super Bowl.

Fowler love? No I’m just debating bro. All just opinion and u could be right.

Agreed. 5 legit DE 1st rounders in any draft is impressive.

That is good... but name a guy you would take in the 4th round.... this class is top heavy, it gets a c+ for overall talent and depth. Not first rounders. If u don’t get your guy in the first  I think you look at Ferguson and then it’s a wash really.

He doesn’t include Josh Allen. Which if Burns is there, Allen should be. That’s 6 1st rounders. Plus about 5-6 more going in next two rounds. Players like Nelson, Banogu, Jackson could all slide there.

What exactly does an A or B class look like if this is a C-plus?

I guess it’s a matter of perspective. He’s been doing this write up for years so I guess we could go back and look at previous classes, also he does this for every position not just defensive end. So it’s just something to talk about.

Walter is full of hot takes and flip flopping (he'll completely change his tune on a player after a good game) but on the NFL draft he is pretty decent. Its also the one site where I can click on a link and see all the free agent signings with salaries in an easy format and trade grades.

This is from the Wide Receiver portion of the review under "Biggest Bust Potential". I looked at this list ...pondered a little ..and I must say I would not be suprised if the Giants draft N'Keal Harry this year.

http://walterfootball.com/draft2019positionreviewWR.php

Biggest Bust Potential: N'Keal Harry, Arizona State

Previous Picks:
2018: Auden Tate
2017: Curtis Samuel
2016: Corey Coleman
2015: Devin Funchess
2014: Kelvin Benjamin
2013: Cordarrelle Patterson

My track record here is good. Tate was a seventh-round pick, so if he doesn't pan out for the Bengals he wouldn't be a true bust given where they took him. Samuel didn't do much as a rookie, but he flashed some serious ability as a second-year pro. Other than him, the rest of the group looks like a collection of busts. In 2016, I almost went with Laquon Treadwell instead of choosing Coleman. Both of them have been major disappointments as first-round picks, and Coleman was a huge bust for the Browns. Funchess had a decent season for Carolina, but overall, he has been a disappointment, and the Panthers were not interested in re-signing him when he hit free agency. Benjamin has had a roller coaster career, and he ended up being a disappointment for Carolina and Buffalo. Patterson was a bust for Minnesota.

I guess he hit on most of those guys being busts.  I guess it depends on to what degree.
