Brees and Brady were 36 and 35 when the Saints and Pats spent higher than a 4th rounder on a QB. Cam is 29.

If Cam was 35 I wouldn't be at all opposed to spending a higher pick ok a QB but the only reason we should be doing it now is if we have good reason to believe that shoulder may never recover.

The Broncos aren't passing on Lock twice. He's a protypical Elway QB prospect. Ideal size with a cannon arm. He'll probably go to them at #10.

If his shoulder is fuged then draft a qbs in the first round next year after we win 2 games without cam. Drafting one early this year is pointless, whether cam is healthy or not

I think we already have good reason to believe that’s a possibility considering he couldn’t make it through a full season... I’d be more likely to target QB in the draft with a very uncertain Cam at 29 than Brees or Brady healthy at their ages.

Norv really likes Grier from what I have heard and last time he really liked a player we drafted him with out first round pick.

If he doesn't make it until one of our 3rd round picks I wouldn't be surprised if we packaged them to move up and draft him.

I would rather not take any QB in this draft if cam is done then tank the season with what we have next years draft will have real franchise QBs coming out to pick from. So this year build the fronts and next year pick your franchise QB

There has been a ton of time invested by this staff this year on QB’s. I think they may be looking not only due to the uncertainty of Cam’s shoulder but also his contact is right around the corner.  Leverage and a backup plan for that is in the decision.  I love Cam but a lot of uncertainty around him right now.
