Todd McShay's best-case 3-round mock draft

Round 1 (16): Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State

Round 2 (47): Nasir Adderley, S, Delaware

Round 3 (77): Jamel Dean, CB, Auburn

Round 3 (100): Michael Deiter, OT, Wisconsin

Sweat was spectacular at the Senior Bowl and combine, earning a bump in draft stock. The Panthers really want an edge rusher after registering just 35 sacks in 2018, so he is the logical pick here. Adderley and Dean bring a little life to a slightly barren secondary, and Deiter gives Carolina a versatile lineman to help make up for the loss of the Kalil brothers.

I don’t think it’s that far off at all. I’m not that high on Deiter but there’s a group of safeties and one or more will be there at 47. Could be Adderley.

Sweat falling to us isn’t really realistic.

206 lb corner

he aint no 178 donte jackson

His speed doesn’t show up in his play and his ball skills make Bradberry look like Jerry Rice. He has potential but that’s too high for a project right now.

dean is underrated. i love the kid. not just after the combine. had him as one of my top corners

Just an opinion based on every one of his snaps. Not just a highlight video or what some guy said.

We'll see how the draft plays out. I'd be shocked to see Sweat there at #16 but I was shocked to see Star there at #14. Maybe the "heart issue" helps us out again.

After Hurst fell to 140 last year, anything is possible. And the Raiders were criticized for just taking him to begin with because of his condition. In the 5th?
