Don't overlook Deebo!

What would pre-draft be without the Wide Receiver Extremist giving a stamp of approval to a receiver?

USC fans, where are you?

People, fans and unfortunately Huddlers sometimes refer to Curtis as Curtis Samuels, and I am certain that some guy is gonna refer to Deebo as Samuels as well, but it would actually be cool to refer to Samuels (as in Curtis and Deebo) kicking ass on Sundays for our Carolina Panthers. That's a correct use of "Samuels" that I can get behind.

Separation galore and Moore!

Deebo would def bring value to our wr corp and special teams right away. I believe he is more complete than DJ Moore coming out of school. Imagine DJ Moore, Deebo Samuel, Curtis Samuel, Christian McC. all on the field at the same time. Sheeeeshhhhhhhhh. If we draft Samuel I am going to CashApp a random person who likes this post 50 bucks. =)

Man will you guys ever be satisfied with offensive weapons?

The defense is going to complete poo before out eyes and the Panther's have heavily invested in the offense for the past several drafts.

If the offense can't score with the kinds of investments made then we need a clean house not a pile on.

Look I like Debo.  But he is going in round 2.  We have way to many holes to be going WR in round 2.

I know I have a slight homer glasses on.  But id rather have Rattliff Williams who imo has just as much up side and is a BIG sleeper in this class.  He could be picked in rounds 4-5 instead of 2nd

If this kid stayed another year and had better QB play, I think he wouldve been a 1st rounder in 2020

I'd rather a different WR type instead of 3 wr similarly built with similar skill sets..

Get a big guy 6'3 and up who wins 50/50 balls down field and is a massive red zone target..

A motivated KB type to go with your speedster (Samuels) and your all around number 1 (DJ)..

I have to agree. Deebo would be awesome, but our first 2 picks have to be spent on the trenches, or FS if the right 1 drops. I have a feeling that there will be a run on safety at the top of the 2nd, but if I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time), and the right guy falls to 47...

We also need to look at RB, QB, LB, LG, NB, TE. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we ignored WR completely in this draft.

Edit: Your boy from UNC would be a steal on day 3.

"They ain't Alabama. They ain't LSU. And they're certainly not Clemson. That's why Carolina's in Chapel Hill and USC's in California and the university in the state has been, and always will be, Clemson."

OT: good player wouldn't have a problem with him wearing a Panthers jersey.

I’m a gamecock fan and would love to have him.  He would be a huge upgrade as a returner and also a great WR.  That being said, I agree with others in this thread that say we shouldn’t draft him.  We need more help at other positions, he has a similar skill set to what we already have at WR, and he definitely has durability issues.  This past year was the first time he’s made it through a full season.   I’d prefer us to not draft a WR at all though to be honest and grab somebody like Crabtree for a year

I get it, but I don't necessarily totally agree. I think some of you are waaaaaaaaaaaay too comfortable with the receiving corps. We have Moore who will only be in his second year, and he is taking some time to adjust. We have Samuel who hasn't been on the field for long stretches during his two seasons for this or that health reason (and, honestly, he may still be adjusting as well). We have Wright who is basically a wr4 third down specialist. People have unrealistic expectations about him as far as I'm concerned. And then there's everyone else. Sure Smith is our wily vet, but, let's be honest, he's more of a one-trick pony, and many say that he ain't worth a damn anyway. And, Cam lost his one of his main targets in Funchess. Moreover, I don't want to hear the crap about C-Mac being a receiver because he is a running back. He may be a receiving RB, but he's an RB all the same. A receiving TE is nice, but Olsen is long in the tooth, and Thomas is still adjusting to becoming that heir apparent. A WR is a different animal.  We need another wide receiver to shore up our corps and give it a legit level of security, if not take it to that next level.

By the way, We've invested in defense just as much---maybe more---over the last few years between the draft and free agency.
