I wouldn't call deer extremely stupid. There aren't any 5k pound natural predators that move at 70mph. Humans have driven them out of their natural homes with crazy expansion. It's bound to happen in an urban environment.

When it comes to taking out hogs, it's all good. Same with coyotes. Hunting deer and other game, not so much. Capacity is just a bit overkill, but really the calibers used aren't any different than any other rifle you might find to hunt with. I'm a mosin nagant guy, myself. Don't even use a scope. I use the same sights that came with it and do just fine.
