I'm still shocked we were able to pull it out. After that delay of game penalty I thought it was over.. By the way, fug that no call on the Capitals delay of game in the first OT, that was clearly behind their blue line. And that hit on Mrazek.. Refs weren't that awful in general though, just swallowed their whistles entirely. McGinn's diving save and then the game winner were so clutch.... Even if we don't win the Cup this year, it felt really nice to win this series. This franchise has a bright future. 

Watching this team rise from 5% odds in January has been awesome. Also, I almost had a heart attack during that game.

There is nothing like playoff hockey.

Ovechkin has yet to score a goal in a playoff OT game. And fug him- he benefits from more no-calls than Jordan or Magic. Slash here, hold there, elbow, trip...

The Canes put up 63 points since Christmas to get here.

Mr. Game 7 now has 15 points game 7's and has an 8-1 record in those game 7's.

Brind 'Amour mixed his lines up and did a helluva job matching Pesce and Slavin- they both played a great game.

The thing I love the most about this series is there was nothing pretty on the Canes goals through-out the series compared to the Caps.  90% of their goals were deflections/redirects/rebounds/screened shots.  All gritty scores, nothing highlight reel worthy like the Caps one timers/2vs1s and slapshot goals.  Canes won by just continually working at it.  Fantastic game, would love to see the Panthers send a few guys from the team to a home game and let them see what its all about in PNC arena during playoff hockey, you see the Bruins had the Patriots, Nashville had some Titan guys etc, get some more Football fans into the Canes and really revitalize this franchise back to the glory days of the early 2000s. 

I've watched the highlights now 100 times...the yell from McGinn once that puck went in, wow.  still gives me goosebumps.

Sorry I was unable to join the conversation last night. I was at the Ale house watching the game. What a victory...and it's great to see the support pick up. Cant wait....going to game 3 against the Isles.

Didn't keep up with the thread last night as I had to hold the same position or we would lose.  It's amazing to go back and read and relive it all over again.  Welcome to Hockey new friends. There's nothing like playoff hockey.  Still can't believe it's real.

Holy balls last night was incredible. Those two OTs were just... wow.

I would imagine it will get resticked after the first and second rounds of the draft are over. I do agree we should have one in the hockey forum for game 1 just in case. Maybe post it an hour or so before the game on Friday.

Ya I was figuring they were gonna resticky Monday but it’s going to get lost real quick this weekend.
