Why do we have such a hard time controlling the puck?

Don't know but, they've been turning it over like crazy. Need to keep control and make some good rushes and put pressure on them. Otherwise that beautiful shorty by Aho will be for naught.

Because we've been fighting their momentum all game. Almost like they're trying to save energy for a burst out. Giving the Caps far too much space to move in the open. That last possession could've gone very badly. Tighten it up boys. 

 

Why we can't outskate them like we did in game 3 is beyond me. Gotta jump on them after one of these stoppages and keep at it. If we're gonna do it it has to be here in the 2nd while we have the close bench.

Dead feet. Letting our feet die instead of attacking the puck. That is what lead to that.

We look like children playing with men. Just getting knocked around at will. It's what lead to 3 , 1 chance and goal.

It wasn’t night and day the first two games. We were the better team 5 on 5 in the first two games without a doubt. PP has been a huge issue all year and that has nothing to do with home/away.

Rod has to light a fire. This game has to sway back in our favor before this period ends. Hard to turn it on in the third, especially with the far bench. It's why home ice is big. Hard to get matchups with the far bench.

Welp, season has been fun. Nice to have meaningful hockey again in Carolina.
