RBA said Svech is doubtful for Monday. Was reported yesterday that he’d likely play so maybe this is just coachspeak and mind games but definitely looks 50/50 or worse. With or without him I’m confident at home. Would be nice to have him for a possible game 7 atleast though.

Saarela could be reassigned after their playoff game tonight if they think he can handle 3 games in 3 days at that intensity. Don't read too much into it. I think Svech will be a decision made tomorrow morning. If he looks and feels good, I hope they let him go out there. Big game and all. If not, Saarela will be in Raleigh tomorrow by lunch and in the lineup.

Martinook was moving well in the morning skate but it's tough to tell if his leg can hold up to the stress of a playoff game.

Svechnikov also skated but was again no contact so he is a no go. He has to go through a contact practice to be cleared.

Ferland is likely also out as I've heard very little about him.

It would appear Patrick Brown and Saku will be playing. Clark Bishop will wing with Brown on the fourth line. Bishop has been up before but this will be his first taste of playoffs as well.

Things that must happen tonight to push a game 7 in Washington.

- Foegele has to be physical start to finish.

- The entire team has to take away time and space for the Caps.

- Aho and Teuvo has to be on his game. With Svech and Martinook out, those two have to provide scoring.

- D men have to control the blue line. We can't be resetting in the neutral zone repeatedly. Sustained offense is how you beat Holtby, like we saw in games 3 and 4.

- PP and PK units have to be at their best. Anything less, we lose.

We look good honestly. Defensive breakdown to allow the goal but otherwise we're controlling flow at this point. Just can't get demoralized by the scoreboard. Chip away and shoot the puck, play a clean game. We'll get one through and tie this up. Give the Caps no space to move with the puck and they really don't have much.
