Caps have been playing dirty all series. I have a huge problem with Ferland not showing up late in the season and in this series. We could use him to counter that sh*t from the Caps. Wouldn’t pay him a dime next year, just let him walk.

The depth is obviously starting to take a toll.

Missing Svech and Martinook is huge, Ferland has been ass but he does bring a physical presence.

You can’t ice three lines for forever.

Yeah, Rod is gonna have to play Brown more, regardless.

Well, to put some context to officiating hatred.

O'Rourke and Peel were the refs. Below are the records for each team with each ref.

Canes: 3-3 with both O'Rourke and Peel this season.

Caps: 5-1 with O'Rourke and 2-1 with Peel.

Also both tend to lean towards the home team and the home team wins more than half the time either of them work. So, take that how you will.

All that being said, we didn't play well. At all. Even normally optimistic Canes Twitter was pretty pissed. Not even Sara Civian could find some light in this darkness (aside from TVR playing a fantastic game).

Maybe some good news>

The Carolina Hurricanes announced on Sunday morning that they have sent forward Aleksi Saarela back to the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers.

The move may indicate that Andrei Svechnikov, who was injured in a fight with Alex Ovechkin in Game Three, is ready to return.

Good news it was one game. Should refocus them. Getting Svech back will be huge. Back at home.  I didnt think we were going to win 4 straight. We had a game to give...we gave it...now it's time for the final push.

I hope we win, and think we win. I'm not that confident, hell, not sure any fan can be after last night.

But, if we do win tomorrow, no way in hell are we beating them in Washington. It's like this team gets AIDS or something when they go up to Washington. It's weird as Hell.
