If @Jeremy Igo hadn't gotten rid of the blogs, I could redirect all of you out of the loop there because I would have continued The Canes Blog with @RealBitsOfPanther

There's plenty of highlights and recaps of games on YouTube and on the team's social media accounts (not to mention Sara Civian's reporting with The Athletic).

Get excited folks. This team is red hot right now and about to face a division rival and defending champ Capitals team

Sara is the best. Literally the best sports reporter we have here in the Carolina’s.

Y'all rock ♡

Any other games of note to check out from the regular season?

It’s really hard to remember games for me... There have been some big ones but they all kinda got lumped together. With football having 16 games plus a few sometimes I can remember pretty much every game but 82 games blend together.

One big one (though I don’t remember any standout moments) was a huge win on the road in Nashville after we got our asses kicked by Winnipeg at home the day before (think that one was 7-1...).

Penguins shootout win where we tied it up late was a huge 2 points to get.

The most recent big game when things were really close for a playoff spot was the Toronto game a week ago where we pretty much handled our business with ease.

There’s probably others but that’s what I’ve got for now.

I know it seems like it’s because they’re both younger women, but her and Jourdan Rodrigue both have very similar styles and are both great compared to others.

The concept of marketing to an unreached and for the most part largely ignored fan base makes no sense to you?

Do you understand how search engines and marketing works? There are a lot of Carolinians that would love to talk hockey but when you type "Carolina Hurricanes Message Board" into Google this site isn't even on the first page.

In fact, there are people in this very thread (and on this forum) who have stated that they didn't realize that the Canes even made the playoffs and are now excited about the possibility of a franchise from their own state making a run toward a championship.

Getting more "likes" means more money for Mr. Igo, something he is probably very fond of. If he wants to move it then let him.

Regardless, you can still talk football.. hell, I did not too long ago in the David Montgomery thread. It's not exactly rocket science to scroll past this thread if you don't want to talk about the CAROLINA Hurricanes.

Oh my. You actually think the number of likes you get correlates to money for igo?

And please explain to me how posting in the panthers forum as opposed to the hurricanes forum constitutes marketing? Do you know what marketing is?

Apperently he doesn’t seem to know this.

Who made you a commander of what to talk about all of the sudden?

Who made you?

Theres literally separate forums for separate sports. I didn’t make this site. The person who did clearly wanted the hurricanes to be discussed in the hurricanes forum or he wouldn’t have made it.

I know you mean it with the best of intentions...but quit being a narc and a hall monitor.

Its just stupid bc some people actually post in the right place and then others just post in the main forum. Igo needs to make up his mind on where posts should be in the offseason or otherwise.

General likes, of course not, but actual viewership of threads... obviously.

And it’s quite simple, the viewership of the main thread is far superior to that of the Hurricanes forum because most guests and lurkers don’t browse for longer than 30 seconds.

If you now search “Carolina Hurricanes Playoffs Message Board” this thread actually appears on the first page of Google.

If Jeremy decided to tweet out this thread there isn’t a doubt in my mind he would get some additional clicks because of it.

Like I said, if it bothers you... scroll past it. This elementary schtik where you get mad at something that someone else is doing is laughable.

I have no idea when you joined but it’s been stated that for at least the past 10 years the main forum is fair game when it comes to the offseason.

If it pisses you off that much take it up with the boss while the rest of us enjoy the Hurricanes in the playoffs.

Or otherwise what?

Also thanks for continuously posting in this thread as every time you do you bump it for more to see.

He HAS already made up his mind. Geez you're insufferable. He's always said anything can be posted in the Panthers section during the offseason. Just because you never knew that doesn't mean you should continue annoying us with your stupidity.

Igo has stated before, off-season means that the Panthers forum is free range (for the most part). We have had talk about Lebron, talk about the Hornets, and past Hurricanes threads in the main forum during the off-season. Get over it dude. Don't like the thread being here to get the Carolina sports fans who may not be aware of the success of one of the three professional sports teams in the area excited for that success? Don't click it. Move along to another thread. Quit your whining.

Do you really not know that expression? “Offseason or otherwise” meaning, in the offseason, or not in the offseason.
